Really new would appreciate some advice...

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and pretty new to the body building scene as well. I am 16, 6'0 and weigh about 170. I have basically only been doing bench and push ups, to try and get rid of what i have begun to call my man boobs. I think some people refer to this as gyno but I dont really know what that means. I am now benching in the rango of 185-200 (havent maxed recently) and doing few undred push ups a night (sets of 40 or 50) and I still have a lot of body fat on my pecs. I am realizing that this isnt really helping my problem at all and I think the best way to get rid of my male tities is to cut down my overall bf%, and so a friend recomended this site to me. I would really appreciate any help you guys are willing to give, becuase I am eating 1-2 tiny meals a day and not droping in weight at all, I think i killed my metabolism.

do you mean like 6 small meals? Like 1 serving of something? Also what kind of stuff should I be eating... I hear a lot of opinions, recently I have been trynig to eat things high in protien low in calories and sugar... Should I be eating carbs? I want to cut weight fast and then start working on my muscle, I dont think it should take me that long I only need to lose a few pounds to start looking where I want to be... I just have fat in all the worst places I think. Also what kind of excersise should I be doing? A frind told me cardio but he didnt get as specific as I would like... What should I do and does it matter when or how often I do it? Thanks for any help again...

6 small meals is fine-and you may be better off bulking up first-then cutting the fat and keeping the muscle-also too much cardio can cause you to lose muscle
 
Some recent studies show it's better to cut the fat first, then bulk to add muscle. The leaner you are when beginning to bulk, the more muscle vs fat you will put on.

As for diet, try to get about 1 gram of protein per lbs, for you about 170 grams. To cut, start out at about 12 cal/lbs, or a little over 2000 cal/day. Try to get 20-30% of those calories from fats, Flax Oil, Udo's, nuts, nat PB, etc. The rest is your preference. For carbs, try to stick to things like oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice, veggies.

Also, throw in a refeed/hi-carb day about once a week. Make sure you stick to carbs, though, and go very low fat.
