Quick Fix for NYE

Ok, so I fell off the wagon on and off for the past ten days with all these damn holiday parties and festivities - apple martinis, cookies, pie, pastries...it's been one big cheat holiday and I can't avoid certain dinners and situations till X'mas is over on Sat unfortunately. I can then get right back on the program for four days straight until I travel to go away for NYE.

I've kept up with my workouts throughout, so nothing too drastic has occurred, except a 4-5 lb gain on the scale, which I'm hoping is mostly water. I need a quick fix though for stomach bulge. All my dresses that I plan to wear while away for NYE are stretchy & clingy and after being so good for most of the time, it kills me to have to sport a pooch when I need to look fabulous.

Does anyone have any quick fix solutions to remedy the situation in four days? Should I lower my carb intake, take Glucorell-R daily instead of just on cheat days, do more ab work (I plan to do 30mins of HIIT all 4 days in the am and keep up with my regular strength training program)....I realize there is no miracle and yes, I put myself in this situation, but I'd be happy to hear any ideas or suggestions that are out there.

THANKS!!

drop your carbs, stick w/ the leafy greens. Drink lots of water. Stay away from salty anything. Do cardio 2x/day. (LOL!)

I agree.

Bottom out the carbs to NOTHING all day. Only carbs you eat should be leafy. No brocolli, no beans - they bloat.

Increase the water intake to WELL above a gallon.

Eliminate salt. Don't add any salt, and CAREFULLY read labels to watch for added salt. This might mean no condiments or salad dressings.

Another good thing would be to TOTALLY eliminate processed foods.

You can try an OTC diuretic like Taraxatone or even Dandelion Root.

Spend some time in a saurna to rid excess water.

Cardio at least 1 hour, preferably 2x a day.

THIS IS ONLY FOR THE 4 DAYS. NOT a longer-term thing.

Thanks everyone! I read this just after eating yet another piece of pumpkin pie at lunch...I cannot wait for all this food to be put away and am praying co-workers will not be bringing in holiday leftovers next way. I have no issues until this food is placed right under my nose and then my sweeth tooth takes control of my body!

But I am on a mission for 4 days to recover as fast as I can and I will succeed!!

lol...... you won't succeed until you take responsibility for yourself. Food doesn't control you, YOU control yourself.....

Another excellent reply Daisy!!

Yep, you're right, Daisy. I just fell off the wagon for the holiday season, but I do need to take responsibility for it. I've gone back to eating clean today. Only need to get through the X'mas day meal tomorrow and then I'm back to my routine.
