Protein intake?

Hey guys I'm just wondering about the difference between taking 350gms of protein and lets say 500-600. I eat approx.6-8 meals a day and about 50 grams of protein per meal. I remember reading something where u can only digest 35gms of protein every 3 hours.. Anyways just wondering how u guys feel about this?
 
I think that if you are getting 1.5 to 2 times your weight in grams of protien then you are getting TONS! I believe I have seen something like what you are saying somewhere too???

Bro, that means that if you sleep 9 hours a night, then your body has only 15 hours to absorb 35 grams every 3 hours, meaning the best we can do while awake is 175 grams?
 
right!

right, I'm not saying im right here but if that stat were correct then we would only really be taking in like around 200grams of protein a day!
 
ginger root will help in the absorpion of that extra protein............RADAR
 
I think 2 grams per pound of body weight spread out through out the day is a good amount. I take in about 60-70 grams per sitting and it seems to workgreat.

Hey Bro, You guys are forgeting a few facts. First protien continues to be used there is a limit on how much we can process per hr but that does not mean the protien is gone or wasted. Its still thier waiting to be used. lets use something else as an example say you drink alcohol, your body can process say 1 shot per hour. You do 3 shots. Does the alcohol disaper or leave your body no, it just takes longer to process. The same is true of protien and since your digestive system is the most active when we sleep we are still processing protien when we are sleeping. I am not saying that if you were to consume say 1000grams of protien that you will not waste any I am sure you would be. Also that is probly info that is based on averages of normal folks, Us jacked up sons of a guns know that AS useage allows us to protien more effectively, as so our metabolisms are jacked up too so they are working on overdrive. Just my thought Bros
