A long time ago I gave some advice on the boards here to a guy doing chest I believe and he was`nt feeling it or too much shoulders or tris... I forget exactly, but my point is I told him to try and pre-exhaust the chest by doing dumbell flyes before the dips.

Then a guy answered me and gave me a lesson on why "pre-exhausting" is a myth. I believed it and he made a valid point, I was relatively new here and I`ve been outa the game for a while so I figured It`s common knowledge now, but now I`m hearing it again all over the place. The last one being a few threads down about barbell bent rows. Saying to pre-exhaust. What`s going on? Do they work or not?

Can you find the old thread?

What do you mean by "does it work?" Does it pre exhaust it? Yes. Is that really beneficial somehow? I dunno...probably not.

I`ve been looking for it for the past 20 minutes but I keep reading other stuff... lol I`ll keep looking
