POWERBLOCKS? What's your opinion?

I am thinking about getting a set of Powerblocks as opposed to a traditional set of dumbbells. Have any of you tried them? They seem like they are pretty good. The room you save alone must be great. How are they performance wise?

It looks like a great idea to me. I'd have only two reservations though; one, do they destablize as you add weight? In other words, will they clank around as you're doing your sets? Second, how much weight can you add? Judging from the picture only, it' looks like they get pretty wide, and therefore more awkward, the more weight you add.

Seems likes it's a good idea, but I'm not sure how it'd be workingout with them. It looks like your arm would be restricted, so if the dumbell rotated a bit it would be pressing on your wrist pretty hard.

Allthough if you're on a tight budget with not much room these look like a great idea.

You cannot be on a hell of a tight budget, the full set that goes up to 120 lbs or so is over a grand.

I personally think they are great. Very well balanced, don't take up much room, and pretty high quality in my opinion. I just don't have a need for a thousand dollars worth of dumbells being a powerlifter. If I used them a lot, and could swing it, I would get them.
