Power Cleans...when to do them?

I've recently discovered that I love powercleans, but I can't seem to figure out when I should be doing them. I currently do them on pull (back) day, but it seems they hit my shoulders pretty good too. I'm wondering if I need to start doing shoulders (press day)on back day and change up my whole split?
Right now I basically do a press day, a squat day, and a pull day over the space of (usually) 5 days...

my ideas are:
1. suck it up and do them on pull day, and maybe get a bit of extra shoulder work in that day.
2. do them on pull day on one rotation, and on press day for the next rotation
3. completely overhaul my split (I just got it where i am happy with it, so I am reluctant to do this one)
4. ?
Ideas/opinions/suggestions all welcome.

BTW, my press day is almost all overhead pressing, and tricep work. no benching.

I don like this whole press and pull days you should aim to work body parts in particular or go for compound exercises, I have a strong belief that the power cleans should be finished of with a press and should be done on a shoulder day... do this and watch yourself pack on size personally clean AND press is one of my favorite exercises.

It is more or less particular body parts, and compund lifts is about all I do. Pull is back and biceps, press is shoulders/chest and tris. My background is powerlifting, thus my inclination to term things as pull/press, etc. I do agree that clean and press is a great lift, and if I adjust my split accordingly, I will start doing them.

mon
press

wed
pull

fri
squat and clean
???
ive always had a hard time deciding where to place these as well... when off i only like to lift 3xwk, but when ON i typically try to do...
mon
bench and front squat

wed
deadlifts and pulling

fri
light bench and back squats

sat
clean and jerks
...but i will admit i hardly stay 100% to my planned routine... you could just do them whenever you 'feel like it'... thats how ive been playing it lately...

Thanks for your input moya. I think thats mostly what I'll be doing is when I 'feel like it' which is most pull days.

"CHALK AND HATE!!!" I love it! its a perfect way to increase your lifts! :D

yes, any day really works with those... and because im always taking the usual minimum one day of rest between workouts, i can pretty much do them any time...
i used to love doing them after deads, though i would be tired sometimes... and also, as ive gotten up a bit on the weight used, sometimes i find it nice to do strict millitary presses and front squats first as a 'warm up'...
i do prefer 'jerking' the weight up after cleans... i save my presses for when im in the rack...

I would do it on pull or deadlift day, 2nd choice would be press day. Give yourself a day to recover after these if you are gonna hit legs in any way or press in any way.

are you just cleaning or are you jerking/pressing the weight as well.

Since I've been doing them on pull day, I've only been cleaning them. If i put them on press day, I'll likely press also (but not jerk...I'm not comfortable with that movement).

burn i like that split.. might have to steal it a bit..
