hey guys,
at the beggining of december, i decided to start training, after having stopped in november of dec 2001. I stopped training due to tendonitis in my left leg which did not allow me to squat anymore. i could not deal with the fact that id be top heavy with no legs . i did not want to be another wannabe in the gym. my goal has always to have balance in my physique.
A man with a big upper body and no legs is a disgrace, and its as if you can actually look into that mans heart- no heart. In my opinion, men who do not train legs, have no heart, they are cowards. I did not want to look like that, so i figured, id rather be happy and jolly with no muscle. But after getting FAT and drinking 8 cans of malt liquor a night, along with fast food, i figured that i also would be just another wannabe in the gym, id start training, even if it ment no quad work.
Have i been defeated,........yes for now, but then id rather be halfway in shape, than to be not in shape at all. ive realized this. ive also decided to get help for me knee after resting the leg for 14 months, and physical therapy session(which did not work).
ive decided to get plyotherapy and will be going to the same doc lou ferrigno and other olympians have sought. my appointment is dec 27th. in the meantime i am in the gym, trying to get back in shape, though not training my quads. ive decided to not train my quads, as to not make the situation worse (ive trained them hard a few times, and it just makes my knee worse) and am training all the other bodyparts, and am focusing on weak bodyparts (calves, hams, chest, triceps, forearms)
as some of you know, i have posted pics of a rear double biceps on this same forum, 11 days after starting back in training. my goal is to post pics once a month to rate my progress, and to inspire others to perhaps try to make a change, no matter how fat or skinny you are. Taking and posting pics once a month is such a motivating force. knowing that many people will be giving me honest feedback on how i look. i get fired up thinking about it.
being that it is winter, also allows me to get in shape for summer. summer in my book is june 1st. so i have 6 months from december 1st 2002 to get in shape. As you know, goals are important in becoming succesful. one should have short, and long term goals. my short term goals are the monthly assesments/pics that i will post on the board, and my long term goal is june 1st 2003.
My diet is to eat lots of carbs and proteins, and fats in order to gain a decent amount of muscle. this muscle gain will up my metabolism, allowing me to lean out come summer time. ive done this numerous times in training and ive been fat all my life.
as for supplementation, i take a multivitamin, glucosomine, chondrotin, msm pills for ligament and tendons, and digestive enzymesd when i eat. in conjunction, i take 600mgs of testosterone every 7-10 days.
ive also stopped drinking malt liquor everynight to only on days where i have the next day off of training. it comes to about 2 drinking nights per week.
my training is a 3 day on, 1 off routine. sometimes its a one on, one off schedule, depending on how hard i train.
well, thats a lil about me, enclosed are 2 additional pics, both taken at the same time as my rear double biceps, earlier in the month.
thanks guys.
