Pit Bull Puppy Chewed Off Baby's Toes While Parents Slept

Jesus, how could they sleep through the screaming? The baby was crying?! CRYING? The poor little rugrat was screaming. Negligent?! Stoned or stone deaf, does it matter which?

Puppy's only 6 weeks old, it's still a baby itself, like the vet said, just barely off the teat.

What a mess.

I'm surprised that no one has started ranting about how pit bulls are dangerous and should all be killed, etc etc. This is 100% parent.

Keeping the child in a crib would have prevented this from occurring. Even if the family is poor, which they must be, there are many programs offering cribs to poor families.

ahh true.
unfortunate for this baby! Thatd be horrible to grow up with no toes cuz the dog chewed them off :(

I hope those parents dont get hurt too badly by the law and lose their child or anything.
I dont feel like the blame should be thrown around, it was an accident.

actually I owned one myslef, and its all about the breed... just like any other animal. How they are trained etc... some of the best dogs are violent, but its the training. The pitbull I owned was so gentle, sure she chewed on my furniture while teething, but was also very submissive to my Pom... a little bitty ol shit too. But She was not being trained otherwise. She accepted that precious was dominat and she was not.

I don't and won't ever lie this or anything on an animal that is only trained by what their owner trains them. You want a fighter, you train for a figher, you want a show dog you train for a show dog, you want a performance dog you train for a performance dog.

I blame the parents in this case, and the neglect. The baby should have been secure, in a crib and away from any harm. ANY HARM... Any dog... even the most gentle of gentle of dogs may have done harm to that newborn.
