How many shelled peanuts would equal a TB of peanut butter? I know someone has been anal enough to calcualte this and I'm just curious.....K!

I assume you're talking about equal to natty pb right?

to equal regular pb (ick) you'd be talking 12.263 squared I think...

Squared? It would be like if you took 12 shelled peanuts (really 24 individual nuts) and grinded them....would it equate to 1tb?

We are getting WAYYYYYYYYYY to technical on this, but it's kinda fun......

I did the measure 6 times
and I think
it's rather 12.264

Take say 50gr of shelled peanuts ans weigh them, peal them, weigh them again,. Now you know the percentage of shells as to the total weight.
Just take the nutritional data from PB and convert it to peanuts in grams plus the percentage of weight from the shells.

Should do the trick, right?

I have a bottle of shelled peanuts that says 24g serving size = 14g fat. Natty peanut butter has 14g fat per tbsp SOOOOO, i'm assuming 24g of peanuts would equal about 1 tbsp of pb :chomp: :chomp:
