Palms in on DB bench?

Madd Hatter

New member
I was establishing my weights for GVT in a couple weeks, and Poliquin has Decline DB Bench with palms in on his outline. Why? And does he mean turned inward as you lift or inward all the way up and down? Either way it's too weird, feels more like a fly, and it's hard to keep my elbows in position. I would imagine this would take more stress off the pecs as well. So unless someone can tell me why not, I think I'm gonna just go with regular, palms forward.

The only benefit, which im not even sure is really a benefit to having palms in is the ability to get a tighter contraction....

Keeping your palms in (facing each other) throughout the whole range of motion forces you to keep your elbows tucked, making it more of a triceps exercise.

I dont see how it felt like a fly...?
