Oysters and raising testosterone levels naturally

Does anyone believe eating healthy foods will raise testosteron levels dramatically?

I don't really know what my T level is right now, but work each day to try to raise it. I don't take any supplements other than protein powder and fish oil capsules.

I eat raw oysters about once every month or two since they're so expensive. I read that they're high in zinc and are very good for raising T levels.

Oh and how long does it usually take to raise testosteorne levels? I know a doctor will better be able to answer my questions with a blood test, but without health insurance at the moment i cannot go that route.

Hi Bruce.

I'm pretty interested in this too. It will probably raise T levels, just as if you took some extra zinc.

Other foods that will raise T levels:
Egg
Spinach
Milk

Bottom line is to have more carbs than protein in your diet + around 30 % fat.

Anyway, I got the results from my doc today and I had 24.2 NMOL/L (20 years old). My plan now is to begin with Octacosanol (high in spinach), min 2 eggs a day, sugar maximum 1 day a week, alcohol max 1 day a week, sleep even better, begin with Tribulus & Maca & only jerk off every 5 days. I'll try to take a new test in 4 weeks.

Oh shit I think my T level may be lower now since im cutting weight. I'm eating significantly more protein than carbs. I'm probably getting under 100-125grams of carbs a day only.

Jerk off every 5 days? Have you tried not releasing? I read about some ancient indian tantra shit. They would have sex, but never actually release. The moment they would begin to release, they would squeeze real hard and keep it in. Not sure if it works for T levels or not, but it's interesting.

I know that after I eat oysters I get some good energy and want to lift weights. Problem with oysters is that they're way too expensive; about $1.50 each.

I hope you realise all these studies which show 'X' raises testosterone means virtually nothing.

Firstly they're done on rats. So this does not mean the reactions will work the same way in humans.
Secondly, in these types of studies T-levels are usually low to begin with. If they're naturally optimal, nothing 'natural' will raise them. We're usually not even told the concentration of free testosterone and shbg.

There are so many variables to take into consideration, that cause and effect is impossible to establish.

If you take too much zinc in the long run, all that it will likely produce are mineral imbalances. And bio-availaility of the source of zinc is important too.

There are sound studies on the effect of raw garlic on endogenous T production. My own personal experimentation with it supports the study results. I linked one of them in two different forums on EF.

While I tend to think your second statement is probably correct, there are all sorts of influences that negatively impact endogenous levels. Suppression due to exogenous supplementation is one that is particularly relevant to the readers of EF.
