One more time! All Newbies please read!

Well since I have been getting busy again deleting and fixing up source posts, I figured it was time to put up the old sticky again! I will take it down and put it back up from time to time now....when it gets stupid!


This is my post on board commonsense:

1. Do NOT post or request a source on the open board! If you do this, more than once you could be banned from the board.

2.Do not ask any Mod for a source after you have been here for a day. Hang out, learn, and earn our trust. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS!

3. Do NOT request a source through a PM. It is not safe and it puts you and us at more risk than we already are.

4. If you have a question about a source, especially if you are asking if you may post his name as a scammer; email a moderator first. Do not take it upon yourself to post a sources name as a scammer without checking with a moderator first; you may think you know a lot more than you really do!

5. Do not ask about someone’s legitimacy as a source on the board. This puts the source and you at risk!

6. Please keep flames to a minimum: People come to the board to ask questions and get help. Flaming someone takes away from the quality of the board and the posts it contains. Sometimes it is funny and sometimes it is warranted, and deserved! Use commonsense


Other things:

- Please refrain from lengthy posts IN ALL CAPS, it is the equivalent of yelling and it is hard to read lengthy posts written in all caps.

I don't know if a "Sticky" expires after a given set of time. If so, you or other mods may as well repost it when it does expire. With summer coming up, the high school kiddies will be running amock soon (if what I have heard is true). This post states it very clearly.

I want to thank you for posting this again...and for originally giving willyumyum credit for his help.

I felt practically ignored on the Platinum board, where I stated my reasons why a permanent, "IN YOUR FACE" RULES post should be a fundamental part of this board, as it is on at least one other good, clean, open board.

There is no ambiguity, and there is strict moderator enforcement. That board is www.anabolicfitness.com.

And so that you and other conscientious Mods do not have to, out of sheer frustration, compose yet ANOTHER (and then another) "sticky" that has a limited lifetime..sadly...( Ref: Fonz' ALA Thread.)

The "Register" feature just does NOT cut it, not for an open board of this size. It is totally inadequate IMO. Totally inadequate. Perhaps satisfactory in a purely legal sense...but how many people read the Rules? It's like a Microsoft download "accept" or "decline." wh ever "declines?"

Should you desire any further commentary or input regarding RULES (with which I am well familiar), do not hesitate to contact me. I actually do have an idea or two, and they are not to the detriment of EF.
