Ok So I had a Absolutely amazing 2011 And I am hoping 2012 is even better. Shaping up to be so far so we will see. But enough about me how was your past year?

Did you accomplish any of the goals you set out to accomplish?
What goals did you set and what goals do you have for 2012 and this is not limited to just fitness. :rose:

Great topic. I definitely had some great times in 2011. On some fronts it has been extremely stressful and sad (went back to school, gained a stepson, will be moving, lost my granddad). but then it's also been an awesome time of achievement and moving forward (graduated school, gained a stepson who is a doll, have gotten closer to my grandmother and will be moving back home for 1 year which will be invaluable time with my family and the last year before I get an amazing job)! So it's been amazing. One of my biggest blessings this year has been stumbling across EF. Just wished I'd found it earlier in 2011. For someone who lives and breathes fitness and nutrition and has tons of questions...it's a honeypot!! This site is making me fat in knowledge and I love it!! at least a decade of questions are being answered.

My goal in 2012 is to continue training and lifting and learning. Looking forward to starting the 5 x 5 program soon. Want to continue to make big gains in muscles and overcome some PRs. I want to be able to do my own pull ups!! And dips!! (not bench dips but full fledged dips.). Everyone has been so helpful to me that I'd love to get to a point where I gain enough knowledge to start giving back and helping others instead of just soaking.

Just some quick thoughts.

Hope everyone had a good 2011. Looking forward to hearing great things in 2012 from everyone. Want to help cheer everyone on in their goals and dreams!! ;)

Thank you everyone for your help, motivation, inspiration and advice! Best group of folks I know!!

Merry Christmas and happy new year!

I had a great year. I started my own personal training business. I teach a bootcamp class three days a week and I currently have five clients. Between being a mom of three, a housewife and work I have little free time (that is why I have not been on EF as often) but I am loving it. Hopefully I can turn training into a full time job in 2012.

WOW really Happy for you girl that is some awesome staff. I could fill 20 pages with stories of my 2011 but I do not want this thread to be about me. I want to hear from all you awesome ladies here. Lets just say I had a great year and 2012 is looking to shape up to be more of the same. KILLING THAT SHIT!!!!

That's awesome, Rebecca! Congrats!! So inspiring -- it can be so hard to take the plunge with new career plans....

I had a somewhat chaotic but very productive year. I worked HARD... built some good muscle, learned A LOT. Made some good contacts....

Overall, I'm psyched for 2012 (and every minute remaining in 2011 -- I'm gonna suck the juice out of this year!!)

Best of luck to everyone in 2012!

God bless and best wishes for health and happiness!

2011 was a pretty darn good year for me too. Managed to stay mostly injury free! Put on some good muscle and am no longer punching a clock! So me and my wife feel that we have been truly blessed over this last year.
For 2012 am planning a huge self project and will log it right here on EF in the Anabolic Steroid Cycle-Bodybuilding Journal section.
Hoping the very best for all my gr8 friends here on EF. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody.

Just like the goals thread, this thread has given me some time to stop and reflect on this past year.

2011 has been the most challenging year I've had in a few years. I've had challenges on most levels of life...illness, injury, personal and family levels. I'm excited for the year to be over but at the same time, have taken a lot of time to think about how I have grown on a personal level and things I have learned about myself and how I relate to others. I'm one of those people that has to learn things the hard way and I knew there were parts of my life that I needed to work on but geez...there were times when I wondered if I'd make it through. It's the hard lessons that usually stick with us though! It's the beauty of the journey of self discovery....it never ends and hopefully, I'm just a few steps closer to becoming that polished stone. :)

So...I'm looking forward to a new year and moving onward and upward. My goal was always to compete again for my 40th birthday and that is coming in 2012. That will be the theme of my new log that I will have up in the next few days. It's taken me some time to get my head back in the right frame.

I know it's just the net but I am really grateful for all of you on this forum. There have been days when each of you have helped me, without even knowing it, and given me that laugh or that boost or motivation that I needed to get through that day. Thank you for that.

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and only the best to you and your loved ones in 2012. I look forward to following all of you in your goals. :)

Nothing like this feeling right here bro nothing in the world like it... Breaking off the chains of a linear income is a powerful thing... SO many people are scared to take that leap of faith. They will cling to that steady pay check in place of giving up on every dream they ever had..

I am so glad I was forced to give it up and forced to make it happen on my own...My getting in trouble so many years ago was one of the best things that ever happen to me. Good can always come out of bad if you have the strength to turn it around.

Foshodat bro!
And you dam well know you had a large part in that too my good man!
Love ya bro!
