Definitely work with future!
Basically future thinks one step ahead of me... Which keeps me one step a head of my body. And keeps me from thinking... If that makes sense... Hard to describe. I have a bad habit of pontificating on a daily basis which keeps me thinking WAY to hard. I just focus on my goals and future helps me figure out how to get there. If that makes sense.
But to answer your question. I've got to keep one step a head of my body at all times... I've been cutting and dieting pretty much this whole year. Which has in turn lead my body to adapt progressively faster and faster to my diet and training...
Which consequentially has had me stuck in a rut... I was stuck at 10% bodyfat for like 6 weeks. Beating my head against the wall to figure out why the hell I was stuck in a rut... My body was revolting against me and wanting to adapt and achieve homeostasis so rapidly it was mind boggling. I couldn't find the right mix. I was eating properly, but couldn't find the appropriate caloric range to be in. I was overtraining as well. AM cardio, mid day workouts, PM cardio. That combination just left me drained and I would boost my calories, lower my calories, etc.. And just couldn't find the range to properly support my activity level... I think part of the problem was that my appetite wouldn't allow me to eat enough calories to support the training intensity...
So fast forward a little while.. Need2 introduces me to future, and he gets me back on track almost instantaneously.
So, I digressed and ranted there... But to really answer your question about the oats and whey:
I'm on a TKD of sorts right now. Carb intake surrounds my workouts... All high GI carbs to support my energy needs for training. High Gi carbs for energy and fast digestion.
I believe the thought is that the high GI carbs will keep me moving, and the low GI carbs at this point could slow my digestion down for the time being.
That's kind of the way I see it. The high GI carb intake surrounding my workout helps me snap back in to ketosis at a rapid rate. I'm ingesting roughly 180g high GI carbs surrounding my workout, and within a few hours I am back in ketosis. I think the low GI carbs would not allow me to snap back into keto as rapidly, if at all. It is quite bizzare to ingest 180g of sugar basically and be back in keto so fast.
One thing I must say, is that I've been running this protocol since sunday. I am looking hard, vascular, my strength continues to increase, I feel as though LBM is continuing to increase in small amounts... I haven't tested my bodyfat again, but will on Sunday and hopefully I am down at least a half a point.
