Add in about 3 more rest days...and you are set!!!! :)

Now, I know you grow when you give your muscles time to rest... but three more days I would think is too many. This split trains the muscle groups once a week (aside from tris, being hit twice from chest/tris and shoulder day, which is better than my old routine which hit then thrice a week). I know I workout every day, but different muscle groups.

Your body must rest...MUST. It is hard enough for me to train hard on one day then give a top performance the day after... I can't imagine NEVER getting a day off.

You could easily turn that split into a 3-4 day a week routine and get a lot more from it...IMO.

How would I go about doin' that, B? I'd really like to keep the split a weekly thing (no 8-9 day splits, 7 day is all I'm lookin' for). I'd appreciate the help!

When I taught Martial Arts...this is how we trained.

Sunday: Off
Monday: Legs (quads, hams, calves), Fighting day
Tuesday: Chest, kata day
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Back, calves, Weapons Day
Friday: Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps
Saturday: Off

You could easily add in 2-4 sets of abs in there twice a week either in the gym or during Martial Arts practice...

Seems pretty nice... maybe those days off are what I need. I been stressin' alot lately because I always let training absorb my life. I worry about it 24/7, like not havin' enough food and missin' a meal, etc. I guess I'll get over it sometime... Thanks B! I'm gonna try that split you gave me wit' the 5x5!
