here gos:
I want to build mass and get stronger.

Monday: 5x5 Squats, 5x5 side raises, 5x5 front raises,5x5 shrugs, 5x5 standing calf raises.

Tues: off. (ab work)

Wens: 5x5 flat bench, 5x5 incline bench, 5x5 weighted dips, 3x10 tricep push downs.

thurs: off. (ab work)

Fri: 5x5 deadlift, 5x5 wide grip pull ups, 5x5 concentration curls, 5x5 hammer curls, 5x5 barbell curls.

Sat: off

Sun: off

Thats way to much 5X5 work. You should only due one 5X5 per muscle group. All other work should be assistance work which I do for 2-3 sets in the 8-10 range. Additionally, you should not do shoulders and legs on the same day. Legs should have their own day.

That is one of the threads covering the 5x5 routine, or atleast Needsize's version of it. You may want to look at that, and then adjust your program accordingly. Right now 5x5 for every exercise is waaaaay too much in my opinion. As a matter of fact, Im off the 5x5 routine now for a couple of weeks, because I was experiencing difficulty from recovering from just the one compound movement for 5x5, and then the assistance work. It is a very grueling program, and I would only apply it to compound movements personally. (bench, squat, deadlift, cg bench, standing curls, military press, etc.)

I didnt take any of my assitance work to failure. I stay b/w a 8-10 rep range. And If I barely get the 8th rep, I will stop right there, as opposed to trying to get to 10 via forced reps, or some really nasty cheat reps.

Pick a compound exercise and use the 5x5 method. Choose a couple isolation exercises and do 2x10. That's basically needsize's variation.

I have a feeling you are thinking of Cornholio's old school method as well. Run a search for it. There are probably 9,000 threads concerning his routine.

Good luck with it man. You'll enjoy it.
