bench press, squats and deads are the nucleus of any anarobic excercise plan. I never used to do em and can say once I started my lifts in other excercises have increased quite a lot only 2 months into doing them and bodyfat has dropped a little more that usual too.
Squats and deads have become my favourite excercise now. As already said, form is everything (m sure you didnt need for us to tell you that anyways but...).
