NEEDING as close to 500g OF PROTEIN PER DAY

Do you guys agree with this right here? :worried:

DIET
VERY simple. Very important that you try to get as
close to 500g of protein per day
. Easiest way to do
that is to have a whey protein shake in water with
every meal. Fats and carbs don't matter. Calories
don't count, macro nutrients (protein, fat, carb) do.
If you get to add fat on, just cut out the fats and
keep your carbs bellow 300g/day. That's all it is!
Very simple, but hard to stick to, so not many people
get results. On gear, the more protein you eat, the
more you grow. Is as simple as that. Gear maximises
protein synthesis.

:worried: I mean are they talking about guys who weigh around 400-500 pounds or something? Don't you only need at least 1-1.5 g of protein per lb(of bodyweight)?

That is a total waste in my opinion. To say that everyone needs that much protein without regard to size doesn't make sense, unless they are trying to sell something.

Yep...the ones that say this are usually trying to sell something...although I've seen some people that really believe this.

theres obviously a point of diminishing returns.Do you need 500g of pro/day most likely not..but you should experiment and find what works for you..Just b/c a pro BB'er does it doesnt mean that it will have benefits for you..

I sure could see a pro needing 500 grams.

Like take Gunter. He's 340 in the off-season, thats only 1.5 x bw.

I think 1.5gram x bw is the way to go. Anymore is just additional caloires.

Normal people are not 340lbs though. This is kind of a crazy statement in my opinion. You only need what your body needs to grow. I think eating 500g of protein for an extended period of time could really have a negative effect on your kidneys.

These broad statemnts are fairly useless as everyone has different requirements and tolerances. I do better on a very high protein moderate carb and fat diet. For me at 240 lbs I take in 350g-400g of protein, 200g carbs and roughly 60g fat when dropping bf.

Ive never eaten 500 grams of protein in a day and Ive still made huge progress from where I started. 455 grams was my record and that was way above my usual intake. I try to take in a minimum of 220 these days and that seems to work well for me. I made good gains in the 250-300 range as well, but I dont think your body will process a huge mass of protein like that too efficiently. Maybe if you weighed 340 and took alot of drugs. Health issues are another topic. Id go with atleast 1 gram per pound of bodyweight, but 1.5 would be even better.

The person who wrote this artical is a freak! everyone is always asking him how he got so big so he wrote the artical your quoting. This is what HE goes by to get big thats it. No one is trying to say it works for you adverage 175 lb joe and no one is trying to say that is what everyone should be doing.

Id bulk wildly on that ,fuck thats 3200 cals on pro/carbs only without having fats involved

I couldnt eat that much anyway id barf
