need to lose a dress size

Well, I'll have you all know - that as of TODAY - I officially fit in the dress! I lost a dress size! It fits problem free not even tight! woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

today its 7 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 more to go....and I think I'll keep going but not quite as strict.

i cant believe i did it, and so quick! I have two weeks left to gooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad that you reached your goal. See, it's not that inconceivable if you do it right... eat clean and work out and you WILL lose inches.

You must post up pics of you in your dresses Cindy. That is commandatory! ;)

I will!! in two weeks!!!!!!!

I cant believe how good it feels to feel this relief. I was really worried that i wouldnt be able to do it (in time).

I just realized that it has been a month. So i lost an average of ALMOST two pounds a week. Not quite 2 lbs but close.

which is fantastic

im sure a couple lbs of that was water, and I could use to go another 3-5 probably before i get preggo.

That is SPOT on as far as weight loss goes. But do you see now that it wasn't about your weight at all, but about how your clothing fit?

Muscle is denser and weighs A LOT more than fat. I can guarantee you that had you used a tape measure instead of the scale you would have seen the results were nothing short of wonderful.

One of my most successfull clients (who is now my best GF) lost ONLY ONE POUND after training with me for 30 days and following my dietary and cardio recommendations. I nearly had a heart attack!

I was like, "Judy - are YOU SURE you have been doing what I have been telling you to do?!"

me = :worried:

Adimently she said, "YES ABSOLUTELY!!!"

I then busted out the tape measure on her ass. She lost more than THIRTY INCHES TOTAL over her entire body, 11 of those inches came from her midsection where she carried most of her fat. So, she kept ALL of her muscle (if not added a bit) and lost FAT.

That is the way to make a PERMANENT change in for your body and IN YOUR LIFE!

Woooooooo- hooooooooooo for you!!!

You know, looking back on this whole thread CindyLou, I was concerned that it would send *the wrong message* to those who read it who were NOT competitive or aspiring bodybuiilders, etc. I thought that it would send the message, "Do whatever necessary regardless of how it might harm you to get into a dress for a few hours" ... as so many in our society do.

I was VERY upset to see diuretics and laxatives discussed AT ALL because everyone who is in the pursuit of health and fitness knows that these agents will NOT promote building a strong and healthy body. Natural or artificial - these agents can and WILL harm you if they are used improperly. IMHO taking a diuretic or laxative to get into a dress for a few hours is NOT proper use of such an agent.

CindyLou - KUDOS TO YOU for beginning this thread. But most of all, KUDOS to you for your honesty, determination and work, your willingness to share with everyone. The situation that you went through happens to almost every one of us at one point in our lives or another as we women feel more and more pressure to "look" a certain way, regardless of how that may harm us mentally or physically. You did the research and took PROPER and POSITIVE motivation to help you attain a *small goal* - a few pounds of unwanted bodyfat creaped up on you when you were busy having fun with life and BANG!... an occasion shot you between the eyes. SHIT! MY DRESS WONT FIT!!!

You didn't panic. You didn't tear your body down. You did NOT engage in unhealthy, quick fix, rebound behavior.

And in the end you saw for yourself that the tape measure was a more accurate predictor of progress (or rather how your clothing fits you) as opposed to the number on the scale!!!

So now, as you seriously contemplate pregnancy you are already waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of the game for you AND the babies that you haven't even made yet!!! GOOD FOR YOU! Do you realize how great it is that you are ALREADY a healthy role model for your family (children)?

... Just wanted to let you (and the board) how much I cared about this thread and all the issues discussed herein.

I know that I don't post up very much but when I do, I do like to think that it *might* make an impact. :)
