the last few months has kinda been tough on me and i really let myself go gaining weight and not working out. i was never in shape but i was comfortable with my body. since then ive gained like 30+ lbs and probably lost a lot of muscle. im 5'7 230lbs now.
anyway i was hoping that someone could maybe help me out with a routine and diet. i was hoping to start out with a diet and the equipment i have in my house and maybe if/when i get comfortable maybe join a gym(hopefully someone can refer a good but affordable/cheap gym in lower manhattan/new york city).
i got some basic equipment in my home(a flat bench that can turn into an incline, dumb bells, a stationary bike and a not so good step machine). i used to work out a little bit hence all the equipment but stopped.
my questions are what types of exercises(how many reps/sets) should i be doing and how many exercises should i be doing in a day. does the fast fat diet work? what kind of fast fat variations are there? is it possible for me to lift weights and do fast fat without dying? should i be taking any supplements if so what? if not fast fast what diet would you reccomend?
ideally i would like to do fast fat and see results and be motivated to lift weights and gain muscle later on.
sorry for the long post (wasnt sure if i was supposed to split this into two posts for each section) but thought id get everything out before i lose my nerve and chicken out.
