Okay, first of all I apologize if this has been in a past post. I don't have time in my busy schedule to sort through post for 2 hours (don't mean to sound bitchy, k?). For one, my computer take 5 hours to do it's thing (it seems like it) and I only have a few moments to get on the internet at a time before I rush to my next order of business.

Some of you may know that I'm a psychology student. I'm minoring in criminal psychology. I would to someday in the next 3-4 years after I finish my master's go into the Department of Public Safety's Academy. It's a hell of a lot harder than the regular law enforcement academy. This is the one where you can become a state trooper, DCI agent, DNE agent, Fire Inspector, etc.

The thing is, I am not a runner at all. One of the requirements of the physical agility test is to run 1 and a half miles in 13 minutes. I am NOT, I repeat NOT a long distance runner. They put you through pretty much stuff like boot camp.

Does anyone know of a good workout routine and cardio routine that will get me there moderately fast (a year or less)? I used to go to gym, but as some of you know if you've read my recent post, I'm under a lot of stress and I have no time for working out 3 or 4 times a week like I used to (I haven't worked out since January).

Sorry for such the long ass post, but I figure you needed a background.

Please help me. Besides vitamins, is there any other supplement that would help?

THANKS in advance.

Runner or not, thats not too daunting of a task. You could just do some endurance oriented work to get yourself ready...
Try running on a treadmill at a comfortable pace and see how long it takes you to hit the 1 1/2 mile mark.
From there you can assess how much improvment you need.
Luckily sport specific training for distance running isnt that complicated, its basically practicing what youll be doing. Its a matter of cardio-vascular fitness more than anything.

...don forget to check the FBI when you graduate. My good friend was approached by them before he even graduated with offers (he's bilingual, and they will BEG you to come on with them if you speak more than one language!).
He double majored psychology and finance (at the University of Michigan), I wrote his final paper for his abnormal psych class for him... it was a doosy! Id tell you about it, but I think we would be the only ones that wouldnt find it boring...(whos more qualified to discuss abnormal psychology than me?!?!?!) :D

Even if you dont have law enforcment experiance, theyll take you with a degree and 2-4 years of professional experiance in any business setting.
Just thought Id throw that out there for ya'...

Thanks for your advice....oh...you're probably right that we'd be the only ones that would find the abnormal psychology babble interesting!!!

I got a few more questions to ask you...so later on, when I have time I'll send you a PM!

Thanks again.
