Hey guys...I would like to get your opinion on this diet plan I made for a friend..Goals are to put on solid muscle without to much of a gain in body fat...I don't belive in eating 5000+ cals of bulking diets anymore because I find I put on to much fat....I am going to be following close to the same diet on my next cycle as well except I am gonna up the protein inatke a little more

10:00am
MRP Drink in Milk
1 cup Oatmeal
Cals = 545 Protein= 58 Carbs = 55 Fat= 6

1:00pm
Protein shake
1 serving of Vegetables or Fruit (2 cups watermelon)
Cals= 320 Protein= 29 Carbs= 35 Fat= 7.5

3:00pm
MRP (Milk)
1 cup of Brown rice
1 serving of fruit or vegetables (your choice)
Cals= 716 Protein= 57 Carbs= 95 Fat= 6

5:00pm
2 chicken Breast (skinless)
1 Serving Vegetables or Fruit (Apple, Orange, Corn)
2 slices of Brown bread with Tuna or peanut butter
Cals= 741 Protein= 76 Carbs= 53 Fat= 20

6:00-7:00
Workout
Post workout
Amino Drink

7:15-8:15 (15 min after workout)
Big Steak hehehe (top sirloin)
2 cup serving of Pasta
1 serving Vegetables or Fruit (3 carrots)
Cals= 667 Protein= 47 Carbs= 101 Fat= 8

10:15
2 chicken breasts, Tuna, Fish or another MRP
Cals= 400 Protein= 52 Carbs= 30 Fat= 6

Right before Bed
Protein shake (milk or Oj)
Cals= 260 Protein= 28 Carbs= 14 Fat= 4

Total
Cals = 3,929
Protein = 347
Carbs = 405
Fat = 79.5

L-Glutamine, 5 grams in the morn, 10-post work out and 5 before bed
ALA, 300mg/before each major meal (600mg/with big meal)***
Ginger root, 2 tabs before large consumption of protein***
Multi-Vitamin, 1-2 a day (morn and night)
Flax seeds (for good fats) Cals= 280 Protein= 10 carbs= 22 Fat=20 (take 3tbsp 2x a day)
Greens+ Drink in the morn***

At 10 am you can replace the oatmeal with a Bagel or a Sandwich of your choice on Brown bread. At 5pm you could replace the Chicken with another meat of your choice. Post workout meal…you could replace the Pasta with a sweet potato or 2 to change things up a little. You could also have 1-2 bran muffins in the morn instead of oatmeal. At 11am you could replace the Protein shakes with 6-8 egg whites and 1 whole egg if you like as well. A Tuna sandwich would be another snack for you but I did not put it on because I know how much you hate Tuna LOL!

*** Means optional

i have fast metabolism so when im bulking im not worried about putting on too much fat, i eat ice cream, burgers and steak alot. as far as clean bulking diets go, Milose Sarcev (IFBB pro, im sure you knew that) in one of his interviews suggested eating 2g of protein and 2g of carbs per lb of bodyweight and keep fats down to about 10-15% of total calories. i have tried it before with good results, but if im on the go and dont have time to prep my meals i just get my calories from what ever is available.
BTW, my bodyfat ussualy stays at about 8% the highest while bulking on ice cream and burgers.

Mustang,

Just wondering here and maybe you can help me... Everything looks good to me, but I thought that you and you buddy were not trying to gain fat. With 79 grams a day.. You are bound to put on fat...

I hate you LOL!! I wish I had a metabolism like that but we can't all be so lucky....I think this diet will allow my friend and I to put on some good muscle with minimal increase in body fat (if any at all) of course there will be some cheat meals no and then though

About 20 or so grams of fat are coming from Flax seeds which are good fats and I find I don't put on fat when I use them..I am currently geting about 25g's of fat from flax oil alone right now and am geting leaner by the day (thank you diet and Fina lol)

The only thing in my opinion is since I don't know BF%, I would consider more sugar before 11-12 am and less at 1:00pm. Less protein before your workout and directly after, supplement with complex carbs. The 10:00pm meal looks great though and your shake. Looks great other than that. Also where is your morning cardio?

Cardio is before my first meal

That diet with that cycle will be killer. I would just suggest lowering your am/pm dose of glutamine to 2 grams max, as that is the optimal dose for the most growth hormone release.

looks good man i agree with u im not a big believer in the 5000 cals i think that as long as ur getting around 4000 cals and high protein with carbs ur gains should be good! Good luck with u cycle!

i tryed doing cardio on my bulking cycles and found that it cuts into my gains

Really ? How much were you doing ? I find 20min a day at a medium pace 3 times a week helps and should keep the ol heart healthy as well.

i tryed doing 20min/5days ( then tryed 3 times) week before breakfast, and i have to admit i looked dense while running test and dbolls without any anti-ests, but i did not progress as much in terms of strength and size as i normally would without the cardio, i think its my metabolism. so i dont really do cardio

just to put things in perspective a little, im 6'2 but my junior year in high school i weighed 135lb at that hight. that was 7 years ago

Hey Stang. What's your definition of "big steak"? Mine would be at least 300g, which isn't very big at all, and that should have 651 kcals alone, and that's mostly protein. Are you sure you've got all the caloric info right on? I think a chicken breast has about 200kcals as well. Correct me if I'm wrong though please. :)
Diet looks solid though, but I might eat less fruit to minimize fat gains personally. Too much sugar for my liking. Fruit is good for ya though and it is a bulking cycle so I'd also say that bulking diets have a bit more leeway (sp?) with more personal preference.

I got all my info from the nutritional profile in a Flex mag and www.cyberdiet.com

Hey Mustang everything looks good except for one thing---EGGS where are they? He might get a little tired of the MRP's also, he should try to consume as much from natural food sources before going to shakes etc.. If he can keep it up he should gain pretty well. And as far as adding glutamine and ore creatine, try adding the glutamine with the protein for increased absorption and a greater nitrogen spike.

personally speaking if you want to lose BF you need to cut out all dairy products like milk etc. cause it tends to smooth you out and also those MRP are full of all sorts of fillers and crap your body cant breakdown better off just adding more fish,steak and vegetables to your late nite meals those shakes will just bloat you out, good luck
