This doesn't really fit, but: I can't get over the number of people at work who see me walking around shaking my protein shake, or creatine. when they ask what's that, & I tell them, they'll say something stupid like, "I used to work out, but I hurt my habeous corpus, & the Doc said not to lift anymore." or "Y'know, that's stuffs useless, makes ya fat."
Or the guys that ask me to lay out a workout program for them 'cause they "Wanna get started." A coupla weeks later I ask them how its going, or what gym they joined & they don't know what I'm talking about.
 
lol I saw about 4 people today doing the tag team bench and the guy only brought the bar down like 2 inches and then started to push it back up and the spotter was like "Its all you baby". I also witnessed a tag team curl which i had never seen before.

also whats up with all these people just doing curls they do nothing else but curls and maybe rope pulldowns. They are fucking isolation exercises for christ sake no one does and deadlifts or squats or bench anymore unless its tag team. One guy took the bench press bar of the bench and starting doing deadlifts with like 90 lbs when there is clearly a spot where people can do deadlifts on the other side of the room. there were people who wanted to bench too. Ive also seen the tag team rope pulldowns thats pretty funny as well. It brings new meaning to the term workout partner
 
At my gym there is only one place where there is enough room to deadlift. It's a platform which was designed for olympic lifting/squatting. My workout partner got to the gym yesterday and found that the platform was occupied by two Abercrombie-type guys with cutoff shirts sporting little 'cut' arms. Fine. I waited to see what they were doing.

They were playing this 'game' where one person curls JUST THE BAR 6 times then he passes it to his buddy who curls it 6 times who passes it back so the first guy can do 7 reps yada yada. The thing that annoyed me the most was that between each "set" they laid the bar ON THE FLOOR!

I was about 30 seconds from saying something when they decided to wrap it up. As they walked by, one of them squeezed his bicep and claimed: "Man, what a pump!"
 
I have to admit, seeing the two little pricks curl the bar back and forth was quite inspiring! If they had occupied that area 5 more minutes, I was going to stick one of them in my gym bag and eat them for dinner. Not sure the caloric content of an abercrombe and fitch dude, but I would guess its like london broil.
 
continuation from the "pregnant" curler.. this fucker practically does his curls while screaming for his life like he's giving birth.. bitch..

so anyway, i saw him again yesterday yelling his lungs out with 20kg's on the ez bar and so i just laughed to myself(so did everyone else).. and then he throws on 70kg on the bar = 90kg.. and starts doing the worst speed shrugs ever.. he wasn't even rotating his shoulders.. just moving em up and down up down up down.. so i decided to just keep my thoughts to my self when the fucker did something i HAD to intervene..

he drops the bar, walks around like he's some big shit now..(only weighs aprrox 70kg's i think.. your typical boyish curl fanatic).. and comes back to pick the weight of the floor with lower back TOTALLY bent, legs straight and just pulls the weight of the floor like the worst SLDL ever!! and i had to tell him about the back issue.. and this is how it went..

me : "hey dude, just out of good will. pls don't ever lift the bar off the floor with
your back bent like that cuz you'll screw it up sooner or later.."

idiot : " oh yeah.. i knew i should be using my neck to pull it up too"

at that point i just gave him the eye brow.. (dwayne johnson aka The Rock) and continued with my power cleans.. damn i wish it was legal to smack the shit out of anyone who doesn't know how to lift properly.. F*CK!!!!

More idiots in the power rack. A guy got annoyed with me when I racked his 2 five pound dumbells and 2 five pound plates he left in the POWER rack. He was training his girlfriend to do bodyweight excercises using the only power rack, the only 2 benches and the dip station and girly weights were strewn everywhere. What a dick. I used my annoyance to breeze through a PR squat session. WOOT!

Lol good job! This guy in my new gym does a set then watches a football game, another set, another game another set, out the door!
