Story #2, I was asked to spot this guy on the smith machine doing decline bench (the gym doesn't have a decline bench so a lot of the guys use the smith machine). It was loaded up with way more then this roid head could ever dream of lifting. He literally move the bear up and down like 3", I was like WTF is this guy doing. I stood there trying not to laugh and only helped him get the bar back to the top for the last "rep". He gets up and says "man, that sucked, I usually do more".
I see this that same guy try and tell his buddy to do his BBrows standing at a 45deg angle because he gets a better pimp that way. He didn't like it much when I mentioned that for the best possible back growth they should be done 90deg to the ground, back arched etc, and doing them at 45deg was more of a biceps workout then back. He was even more pissed when his buddy took my advice and did a few sets properly.
What is it with these guys doing these half assed lifts with such limited range of motion? I can see if they are injured but what's the point of loading up the bar only to do a half assed set.
it's too much mate! biceps don't need to be hit with everything and 2 kitchen sinks. they get plenty of work from lat work. 3-6 sets of bicep iso work is what most of us would add in to finish it off.No offense taken at all. How many sets do you do for biceps? That really isn't a lot for you guys is it? I sometimes do more than that. I do a bodybuilding workout, a lot of sets, slightly lighter weight, more reps and very little rest, with the exception of power movements like benching or legpress I rest a little longer on those. I am always sucking wind hard between sets.
Here's my shoulder workout;
5 sets of seated lateral dumbell raises
5-6 sets of (dumbell) front raises
5-6 sets of bent over dumbells lateral raises
5 sets of seated dumbell press
5 sets of upright barbell rows
There is a machine in my gym that is for working your rear delts in a seated position and I do 4-5 sets on that.
I suppose that's unbelievable too?
And I go to the gym in the AM before work to do my abs as well as doing my "regular" workout after work. I workout 6 days a week.
how did they get that big using such sloppy and incorrect form? It is my eternal question. Did I miss my calling to become a Mr. O contestant by using disciplined and strict form all these years?

Just got back from the gym...........holy doucheness
Decent size guy. Abercrombie beanie, tight shirt, sweater type cloth shorts(don't know the name) and sandles. Biceps as big as my head, toothpick legs.
Puts 405 on for squats and procedes to do five 1/8th squats. Puts two 35s on the ground to serve as heel raisers. Calls somebody and leaves the gym with all the weight still there.
FUCKING ASS HOLE I HOPE YOU DIE
Rant over.
lol yea bro. i know what ya meanI am sorry......I didn't think this was going to be taken literally. I was just poking fun at the audacity of young folk taking their cues from people like that instead of being taught properly by coaches, trainers...whomever. It is a conundrum as old as time. "The big guys must know what they are doing" misconception.
