Good stuff bro
My grandparents came over from Italy and "worked" to make a life for themselves and future generations.
I have/had NOTHING to do with slavery, so I don't feel that same Lestat "guilt" that he feels.
And I've been called things JUST AS BAD as nigger, so excuse me if the "N" word doesn't cause me to feel any worse than any other derrogatory comment would.
Honestly, when I hear someone drop it, I feel embarrassed for them because they're so dumb that that's what they need to resort to not to get a point across. But if it makes black folks feel as bas as I feel when I hear cracker, it sucks. It depends on how you grow up I guess. People that have never been around it see it for how bad it is, but probably haven't been on the receiving end either.

Yeah, but the part I bolded was specificly about the african slave trade, and backed up the point I was making about slavery being based on warfare.
So there.
its not about feeling GUILTY, its about feelings sympathy and compassion.
When I meet a holocaust victim, see the tattoo, I feel deep sorrow and sympathy as well as amazement at being able to persevere through some incredible adversity.
Out of respect for that, I'd speak out equally as strongly agaist anti semitism as I would using the word nigger.
