Had testicular cancer and then a stage 4 seperation in my right shoulder in august. I am at the point of getting back to the gym.. NO LIFTING for another 4-5 weeks though. I am only doing cardio right now

Needless to say I have become quite out of shape. I've never been a diet guru, as I've always cheated and juiced. Can someone help me out and lay me out a diet? I'll hook you up with karmas. I am a busy busy man so eating throughout the day is difficult so foods to eat during the day should be easy to prep. Thanks

stats

6'6"
245lbs
15-16% bf?
I would like to drop down to 12-13%
basically I want to lose 5-10 pounds by the end of may.
Hook a brother up my friends!! You will be rewarded by me and some friends!

Gracias!

Have you read Tom Venuto's Burn the fat feed the muscle? Good place to start to get you back on track!

What does your current diet look like. It will be easier to help you from there.

What i do every sunday i buy like 18 Chicken breasts and bake them in oven and throw them in the Fridge. Also now that its warmer throw some steaks on the grill and throw them in the fridge as well.

i work construction so eating good is hard. In the morning i eat Egg Starters. Its egg whites in a carton. Really easy just poor in frying pan and scrammble.

Buy the 7 minute microwave brown rice. Very easy and healthy.

Heres one meal day you can do.
Meal #1

5 oz. lean beef or Turkey
6 egg whites, 2 yolks or Egg starters i get them at Cotco.
1/2 grapefruit

Meal #2

6 ounces sliced deli turkey
2 pieces bread

Meal #3

Cottage Cheese
1 cup oatmeal

Meal #3

8 ounces chicken
4 cups salad (lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, green peppers, etc.)
Or 6 oz. can tuna or 5 oz. Chicken, 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg 1 tomato

Meal #4

Protein Shake

Meal #5

8 ounces lean meat (chicken, turkey, fish, lean beef, etc.)
2 cups vegetables (asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, spinach or zucchini)

lol dude my diet SUCKS.. I basically eat whatever is around the house.. I won't touch roids again due to the whole cancer thing so I gotta do this all natural and this is all new to me. I understand the fat/carbs/protein stuff just don't know much about foods :(

Deli turkey compared to prepackaged turkey? how bad is prepackaged turkey for you or will it work?
when you say lean you mean 90/10 beef?

Prepackaged stuff is normally full of nitrates, chemicals and SODIUM. Not normally the best choice.

The leanest cuts of meat, the better, the more natural the better.

Lots of green veggies, brown rice, oats, lean meat protein, protein shakes, eggs/egg whites. Those are GREAT starting foods.

one thing i really am happy i joined this forum was for information and tips like toxic said.. the buying tons of chicken on a off day and baking them up and putting them in the refrig is a life saver.. i always sucked at diets because id have to always dethaw the stuff way in advance and if my schedule turned hectic i was screwed.. now i always have atleast 1 meal ready while others might be marinading

what do you guys use to flavor your chicken? What about those mixes that you sprinkle on the chicken? I got a montreal chicken or something I put on my chicken, that shit bad for you?

I use nothing but a little black pepper that I put on the top of the Chicken before I throw it in the oven. That's it.

You can use very little hot sauce (only if you need to). Salmon is also good and easy to make. For Tuna I buy the self serving packages, no draining, no can opener, very easy if you’re busy throughout the day.

You can do the same with the salmon. You can buy them in bulk at a Costco or Sams Club.

If you're doing Cardio, then do it on an empty stomach or just eat a banana 20 mins before you start. It will make world of difference.

I also cook all my veggies with my chicken for better flavor, I put them in foil (individually) with all the greens and veggies inside the foil with the chicken. Then all I do is place them in the fridge. I grab 2 of them every morning for the day and 3 packs of tuna.

That will give you all the portions you need to eat 6-7 meals throughout the day very easily. 2 days a week (if you have a fridge) I'll make 6 egg whites 1 whole and place it in a container and substitute it for the tuna.

Also, recommend lots of oats. I mix them with a Sugar and calorie free jam, makes them So much better.

Hope this helps.
