higher education will not = less divorce, but will help our society as a whole. America has the worse education... espically the corrupt south. Our technology is sub-par other places...

More money SHOULD be thrown at education instead of the poverty of other countries/ and war. The mind is a very powerful thing... its sad that the fall of our public school system, the non support of it, and the non willingness of people like you to try to better it... has our economy so damn lazy and stupid.

It is really easier to go be a crack head and collect SS though... Lets not educate our children, our new generation... allow them to follow a trend that we are indeed as a whole teaching them... that its ok to not excel in our studies, its ok that we are put in a catagory due to situations in which we as children can not change. You should run for President...

did you fix my sammich?

Fix the problem with public schools at hand then.
Geez you're worse than government officials who blow money, end up in debt, then resort to raising taxes to fix your self-created problems.

What is lacking at your current public schools? Perhaps you should move if it's that bad there.

Im probably using outdated information but at some point money was considered the biggest cause of divorce but regardless its still a good idea to teach financial literacy in high school because if we have couples who manage money better that contributes to a happier marriage, according to the premise of the original post.
You're information isn't outdated. Financial distress is cited year after year of being the number one cause of divorce.

Big fucking deal! For every one person you know in the situation you described above there are probably 1000 who don't amount to anything.

I stand by my statement "If the parents are worthless than it's probable their kids will be too".

Teaching kids about divorce and marriage (the original subject of this thread) happens at home. Not in public schools or on tv. It's as simple as that.

So take yourself and your little princess females on here and go do my laundry.

Does the sun get in your eyes up there in that ivory tower of yours?

Did someone doing a few random questionaires tell you that?

Oh lookie! Here is one that disagrees with you!

"While money is reportedly the number one argument between a couple, it is unknown if this is actually the number one cause for divorce. Again, this is because the generalized incompatibility grounds would cover a reason for divorce based on money issues. " ..........."it is safe to say that of all the possible causes of divorce, incompatibility is the number one reason people file."
http://www.causesof.org/causes-of-divorce.php

and another!

"When the vows break, don't blame it on financial problems. Money is not the number one cause of divorce, says a researcher at California State University, Sacramento.
Contrary to popular belief, there's no evidence that money issues are the major factor when marriages break up"
http://www.csus.edu/news/101701moneydivorce.htm

and yet another!

"Also, 62% of ex-wives and ex-husbands answered "yes" to the question, " do you wish your ex-spouse had worked harder to save the marriage?" These findings (along with "lack of commitment" being the number one reason given for divorce) run counter to the conventional wisdom that most divorces only happen after both spouses have done their best to save the marriage."

Does the sun get in your eyes up there in that ivory tower of yours?

How is stating a common sense fact being considered looking down on people?

By basically saying that parents should not be worthless? Why would I applaud worthless parents?

Whoopie, you found 3 articles stating different interpretations for the results to the well known statistical results of 1000's of polls stating that financial reasons are the number one reasons for divorce.
