No. I never said I did.
Public education is too liberal. Teaching about marriage and parenting would only make the problem worse as it would be entirely political correctness.

Money is the biggest cause of divorce? I disagree. Despite what CNN might have told you I do not know any of my divorced friends in their situation due to money. I'd opt to say there are numerous causes for divorce but it's more about selfishness, incompatibilty, and spoiled people inable to compromise.

Regardless the causes, throwing MORE money at public education is going to do nothing to remedy the problem of divorce.
Adequately funding education isn't about preventing divorce it is about having and educated populace, which has been one of the major reasons why america was such a great country.

Agreed.

If the parents are worthless then it's probable their kids will be too.

A healthy stable parental environment (i.e. marriage) will cause the kid to want to suceed and achieve whereas deadbeat parents will surely cause the opposite.

Throwing more of my tax money at shitty education isn't going to change a thing. Last time I checked they did not teach much on marriage & parenting at public schools. If anything they are teaching the opposite with all the liberal PC crap.

all right mr blow up doll man... LOL

I love the 'healthy stable parental environment' ... hahahaha. but then again, you got the 'dead beat parents (plural) correct. At least you have not cast a stone on a specific gender ... I respect that.

Now, do you actually realize exactly what your tax money is being used for? Sure the hell isn't to help with education like it should be. And please tell me you are NOT serious when you say that giving more to education would not better our community, state, country... (I should slap you)

I for one do not have the money to send my kids to private schools, nor the money to take away from my work to home school so they are forced into public education. I pay my taxes just like the next... yet the education that I can afford is sub par to Mr 6figure income.

I've known and still do know peers whom came from a very disrupt home... dead beat family, was told they would amount to nothing... cast aside. And they proved all of that wrong. One of which is a very sucessful attorney, one whom right now owns a multi million dollar company...

So ... let me shorten this up for you... STFU already... oh... and make me a sammich bitch

Yes, but we somehow got off on the tangent of how a high education equals less divorce and how we should also throw more money at education.

I disagree with both.

Im probably using outdated information but at some point money was considered the biggest cause of divorce but regardless its still a good idea to teach financial literacy in high school because if we have couples who manage money better that contributes to a happier marriage, according to the premise of the original post.

higher education will not = less divorce, but will help our society as a whole. America has the worse education... espically the corrupt south. Our technology is sub-par other places...

More money SHOULD be thrown at education instead of the poverty of other countries/ and war. The mind is a very powerful thing... its sad that the fall of our public school system, the non support of it, and the non willingness of people like you to try to better it... has our economy so damn lazy and stupid.

It is really easier to go be a crack head and collect SS though... Lets not educate our children, our new generation... allow them to follow a trend that we are indeed as a whole teaching them... that its ok to not excel in our studies, its ok that we are put in a catagory due to situations in which we as children can not change. You should run for President...

did you fix my sammich?

Big fucking deal! For every one person you know in the situation you described above there are probably 1000 who don't amount to anything.

I stand by my statement "If the parents are worthless than it's probable their kids will be too".

Teaching kids about divorce and marriage (the original subject of this thread) happens at home. Not in public schools or on tv. It's as simple as that.

So take yourself and your little princess females on here and go do my laundry.

lol@corrupt south. You obviously havent seen places like LA Unified or Oakland Public or Chicago Public, Detroit, DC, ETC ETC
