Maffiosa said:
Feeling better today, still got the flu body soreness and head congestion but its improved.

My diet is off a bit because i dont want to force to much in while sick:

8am: 1 cup cream of wheat, 1 tbs brw sugar, 1 banana
10am: protien shake
12am: 1 cup 2% LF cottage cheese, 1 cup of romaine lettuce, 1 med grilled chix brest, few slices of alvacado
3pm: 2 cups of tomato soup, 1 serving of reduced soduim ritz crackers
6pm: protiem shake

cals for the day 1520
ratio: 42/32/27

Gonna do some bag work tonight for cardio, time to sweat the rest of this shit out of my system. Gonna try to lift 2marrow depending on how i feel!

Take it easy bro last thing you want to do is over do it and prolong your ilness. Have a good weekend and rest :)

So i was thinking about depleting carbs for a full week starting monday to jump start myself since i was out of commission for a few days.

My trainer suggested doing a deplete and load diet (4 days all protien, 3 days all carbs) for 18 weeks. Any feed back would be great! Also considering throwing in some ephedrine, minimal doses thru out the day. Cycle it like clem, 4 weeks on 4 weeks off!
What cha think?

IMO, your body will recover in a week withOUT fooling with your carbs. Let it recover, you havent been eating much anyway so I'm sure your body WANTS the carbs for some type of energy.

Sounds like your trainer wants you to do some variation of a carb rotation. Did you ask him why? (just to know his thought process, make him EXPLAIN)

I personally would reserve that for when you hit a plateau & need to SHOCK your system. BUT you are paying him not me, and it MAY just work great for you.

I would do it differently though b/c I am not very strong, mentally or physically, past 2-3 days with ZERO carbs... carbs = glucose = brain food & without it I am not functioning, but everyone is different.

You could try it & eventually try to suggest using a
Low Day (0-50g)
Med Day (100g)
High/refeed Day (150-200g) then repeat, getting two refeeds in a week, my 2nd refeed day would be my cheat meal.

This is one variation I like & will try probably after the holidays.

Not the training per se but the Carb Rotation. I linked you to this so you can see why I placed my higher carb days on or before training days I NEED them the most.

If you have the flu do not begin what your trainer suggests unless you are 110% better.

Ya maybe, but sounds kinda kinky~ :verygood:
lol :velvett:

Thanks for the carb ration thing... it makes me look a lot harder when I do that... I usually do low (5% or so) carbs for Mon Tuesday, then Refeed Wed... do it again for Thurs Fri, then refeed on the week...

My trainer= Boxing/MMA coach, he's not a certified trainer or anything as far as lifting or dieting. In fact if he had it his way i wouldnt be touching weights. But basically what he would like to see me do is take in all protien on lifting days, and all carbs on cardio days/training in the gym. Its just a cutting method he uses with his fighters. He had me do it years ago when i first started training but i was in much better shape and lifting less.

I like your idea on the cycling tho! Its hard to lift on no carbs, thats why i thought the epherdra might help. Well i got to monday to figure it out, should be 110% by then! Thanks for the good advice as usual :p

I feel much better today, got a ton of rest this week and took down lots of fluids. Fever is gone and have my strength back, my appeitie came back with a vengeance yesterday...i couldnt stay full for the life of me. I'll post my food and lifting for today in a few, busy monday. Hope you all had a great weekend~
