Macadamia Nut diet

sawastea said:
I still hope you don't plan on going on this diet. Wait, let me rephrase this. If you consider yourself athletic and you want to keep your muscle mass, barring you have any, I suggest you don't go on this diet.

why? Frederick Benoit and Oakland Naval Hospital study showed that this diet of the 15 pounds of weight lost on average on the short term diet, only .5 pounds was lbm.

BULLSHIT!

I want to see when you're on a calorie deficit, bringing in 1000 calories a day for a MALE that weighs 180+ that the LBM over the short term was an insignificant loss. This bitch better be published with references. How were the triglycerades and LDL over this time frame?

what the hell has this thread turned into?

nothing on my end, dont blame the messenger, I didnt invent the diet, the research or discussions in metabolic books about this stuff. I certainly didnt send solidg in here to ask this question, lots of people are familiar with this type of diet

I've researched fat fast and a ton of other diets. Sure most work, but its temporary because people are always looking for a short cut. Do it for 6 weeks and then jump right back into their previous habits and the weight piles back on plus some because the body will over compensate.

You want to lose weight? You want to keep it off? Think of a 'diet' as a way of living not just limited amt of time that you have to modify your intake to lose X amt of lbs.

Just my .02

You mention you're read it and it's published material. I just want to see it. I'm not going to waste my time on a catabolic diet. Post the references and that's it. Personally I'm against it, but I'm intrigued to read about it and to see their POV.

Yeah thats why I said its hard to recommend, first no one can follow it and the other low carb stuff just trains people to eat bacon, cheese, nuts, mayonaisse then they go back to high carbs and now they eat a ton more fats b/c they are used to it.
The fat fast is the most effective way to lose fat fast, just unsustainable, but the theory is correct
