I wholeheartedly feel my relationship with my mom worsened when I started training and REALLY started dropping serious weight. Now I look like the average girl (well, with big guns...) and not noticeably overweight anymore, and I know it hurt my mom a lot.
I also get the feeling that my best friend from HS and I don't get along as well either because she has put on a great deal of weight and I have lost a larger deal of weight. She has tried on her own a few times and will succeed for awhile... but I think in her head she's afraid I'll become the food police to her.
It's really hard to be around people who merely mention they are interested in fitness and good diet -- I am so passionate about the subject matter (as are most of us here) and when we get all excited about it, I have a feeling those who DON'T live the lifestyle feel like we're just talking about it to make them feel bad.
I feel so at home talking with you ladies and gents -- at least we all know our intentions are pure and not to make anyone feel bad about what they aren't doing to be healthy.
Sorry you're going through this with your friend qt.
