I was wondering how much adaptation you have found that is involved in following a diet plan. For example, I have found that if I follow a 40/30/30 below maintenance diet, that I can't get below 9-10% bf and at this point start losing muscle mass no matter what I do. I had to adapt to a ketogenic diet and have gotten down to about 6% and now am hitting another snag where results are slowing to a crawl. I started taking L-Glutamine to help retain muscle mass and am gong to try to grind out another 1% bf loss, if possible.
Is this similar to other's experiences? How low have you gone with each particular diet with only minor supplementation, if any at all ?
