Not to mention, didn't Geraldo do some reporting in Vietnam? I seem to remember footage of him being wounded and wanting the cameraman to film his injury. If that is then he already knew what he was allowed to report on.

Besides, common sense even lets the idiot know you don't tell the enemy, location, time, size, strength, etc.

Yeah, that's pretty selfish of Geraldo to do that shit. Pretty much any journalist knows not to report on troop movements before they happen. What's worse is that someone gave him that info.

Anway, back on topic. I think you're making too much out of what Sites is saying. You're almost portraying that Sites is calling the guy a murderer, when Sites also gives detail as to what the soldiers went through prior to the incident (constant fighting, the marine was wounded and on very little sleep for 4+ days, etc) if I'm not mistaken. So indeed there are some circumstances at hand here that may have influenced the marine's actions. Only he really knows why he did what he did, or maybe he wasn't even thinking, just reacting. If he indeed goes to court, he will have his say. I think it's too early to say "Sites is a anti-war piece of shit" AND too early to say "that the marine who shot the wounded dude is a murdering baby killer".

Time will tell.
