HEy Ck you made the 1000 post on this thread. I never would have though that this thread would had been as successful as it became. Awsome. Not drinking enough water is prob the most common mistake for me as well. gallin and a half is a lot and is easily over looked. I often feel stronger if I have a full amount of water in me too.

hahaha The girl last night seemed to really like my body. They always liked to be thrown around. Fun night to say the least. Have ben real busy the last few days. Up until last night I had 3 hours of sleep in 48 hours with barely any food. It was horrible not only that I was cronicly dehydrated. OH well. Got tickits to the pistons game so I am taking my nephew. Just woke up at 12:47 :) Going to eat a good meal. HAve a good one guys. And Gals.

Kay guys definitely back. Just ran 4.6km! I love it, worked my bis and tris and worked it hard. I LOVE IT! pictures at the end of May.
 
its nice to know someone has been working hard. The last few weeks have ben stressful and busy nad my diet went to shit. With my new job I dont think its going to be easy to get in meals every 2 hours so I will have to settle for the average breakfast and big lunch. What can you do? Oh well. Getting back to work is exhausting for me right now. Moving steel all day has me tired by the time i get home. And when I went to the gym I was very unmotivated and tired. I could not get excited about lifting no matter what I thought about.....frusterating. HOpefully with school being done tommarow I will be able to get myself on a new routine that will work with my job. Transitioning is hard for me. Great job CK on the run... I played 5 hours of basketblal yesterday and i was WHOPED. Cardio is natural for me in the summer because I love sports and outdoors so I wont be doing to much in the gym. Its just to damn pretty outside for me not to. I got my final to do. Nice to see you around again CK!

Weights are going great. Diet so-so, lotta drama in my life right now. Not getting the cardio.
Need to get more sleep so I can get my cardio.
BTW, just hit 300lb Deadlift tonight, I think first time, 4 reps.

Haha. The funny thing is I have never went to the gym to help out my sex life and never used it for motivation. As Sarge would back me up on this one its all about game. BUT..it doesnt hurt. But I pulled just as many girls when I was real over weight then I do now. I had all the tim ein the world to party and have a social life. Thats why I really dont have a desire to be "ripped". I like to be big/ittemidating/strong...... it gives me a superman type of security that I love. I get mine anyway :p But thanks Bun and CK.....always nice to hear from you grils. Congrats bunny again on being Elites top EF girls!

Hidin....Gotta love deadlifts. Such a powerful motion. Plus it makes the arms look huge hanging on all that weight.

City, I hate deads, love squats, but those are my 2 best lifts.

I likey the gurl pics, but I ain't gettin any strange stuff, no matter how gud I look. I'm married, happily (most of the time, LOL). I lift for personal empowerment & health reasons.
 
Okay, I'm late joining this thread. I slacked over the winter. I got back into this almost 4 weeks ago (I have to check my log to make sure). Anyway, I took some progress shots, and WOW, I'm impressed. Can I see abs? Um, No. But, my tummy and back are leaner & my bf% has dropped.

I will check in again in a few weeks.

Hidnegod, great job hitting 300 bro! Takes alot of work, especially w/ that lift. I hit 397 for 1 Rep the other day, feels good to lift big bad weight and be able to just throw it down lol

Cityhick, yea bro i love the big look too, i also love abs, so thats why i concentrated on getting bigger and just lean out 1-2 months of the year. Rest of the yr is all about me growing baby!

None of us ponied up prize money or a "gift" of sorts... so it was just motivation for those that needed it.

I am starting a new thread soon as well. I have been real busy with new job. Sorry CK but I went back to metal fabrication... the only job that I could find that paid well. Well I am now working 50-60 hours a week. Its CONSTANT heavy lifting. Steel=heavy. Its a bitch but what a workout. I admagine I will get much leaner and diet will consist of Whey with water and who knows for lunch. I also will only get 5 in a day. But I need the money and its good money. Today my boss complimented how Big/strong I was.... felt real good to lift stuff by myslf that took 2 of the other employees. Still hitting the gym. My day consist of Work 7Am-5PM. Home. Eat. Sleep. Workout. Eat. Sleep. Should be interesting how my body reacts with this much work...... I am starting a new thread tonight or tommarow. Thinking of a clever title :) Maybe the "Hardcore training and bullshitting".

What ever makes you happy, and you gotta do what you have to! and I understand about the money and the hardwork, trust me! Are you done school?

I start bulking now! excited but nervous about getting fat :)
 
Hehe. Yes I am done with school! Done know if I will go back next semester. Sick of it and dont know what I wanna do anyways. And whats wrong with being a little thick :) Its better then being small :) For a guy at least. hehe

Just be careful of the lifting at work, after a night in the gym. Be nice getting good money though.

nothing wrong with being a little thick, remember I have 4 kids, and I don't think I will get fat, I just want to do it right! I know I have a fine line that I can't cross otherwise I may that is also why I am saying no to booze right now. Congradulation on being done with school, that must be such a relief! One less thing to worry about, I am happy for you :heart:

Ck...your awsome. Considering all the moving and tim eoff I see a big difference. Exspecially in the arms! Delts/tris lookin good NOt only that you seem to have lost some BF...your skin looks "tighter" if that makes sense.

In the morning is fine. It's during the day when I get busy with other things. all of a sudden it's time for lunch, can't put it off, & I forgot my Glucorell. Or I've already started my cardio at the gym & I forgot my C.B.
I did have some C.B. just before I went to bed last night. Didn't affect me at all.

Well missed about everyday in the gym this week. Have to get used to the physical labor I do at work and get used to not having energy for the gym all the time. I dont think I will stay at this new job. To demanding and doesnt pay as well as I need it to for what they ask of me. I work to live not live to work.I have never had trouble getting a job but right now Detroit and the big 3 are going down the shitter.I gotta figure some shit out before I can go back to 100% at the gym and let alone diet.

Thats the thing. I done even have time to drink water. It wounds rediculous and it is. I work for 12 hours straight with only one 30 min break. In those 12 hours its WORK WORK... more of a slave driver then anything. Fuck it. I can make what he is paying me under the table at any shoppe. I like the guys I work with but its just not secure enough. I know its not an excuse. Consider my ass kicked.

When I did that kind of work, I got a half gallon picnic thermos, filled it with a tray of ice cubes in the morning, then topped it up with water. Then I took it & drank it during the day, & topped it with more water if necessary.
 
Thats what I am doing now. I am going to buy about 5 big jugs and fill each one wiht about 1.5 scoups of whey and then just add water and shake that way I get some cals and protien in during the day. I admagine I will be getting pretty lean due to the fact that I will only be eating protien and water most of the day plus all the exercise.

CONGRATS TO BUNNY!!!! The new MODERATOR!!! You deserve it and will be great as you already are!

Nap time then eat then gym.

For sure. It will also remind you oh how shitty you feel when you dont. Its hard for me to even eat fast food at all anymore. I used to wait till the weekends and crave it... now I cant stand it period. Leaves me feeling horrible physically and mentally now.Maybe one of these days your cheap ass will get a lifetime membership :) Just kiddin

Have to hijack the thread again for a sec. ;) CK2006, just curious if your trainer still has you doing those really high reps during your workouts. Those reps scared me last time I saw them. (16, 18...) But you ARE making progress, which is what counts most. :)

And great job to everyone in this thread. Awesome results and very motivational.

alex.... I am doing the high reps, and no things now have stopped changing, been in contact with my trainer and she is hopefully giving me somthing new soon! She wants me to bulk starting I think at the end of june/middle of july but I need something new for now, get all lean and pretty for the summer. Thanks for remembering! Any suggestions till then I would love, kinda at a stand still with the weight. The time off killed me!

I lifted at a gym last night for the first time since Christ was a Lance Corporal.
Wifey went to Body Flow class, but I had a mild ankle strain from work, so I hit the cross trainer for a warm up & did some chest work. I gotta admit, it's nice having a voluminous amount of plates to work with, not having to keep stripping the bar, to make up the other bar.

Don't get me wrong, I've been lifting regularly at home, but I just lifted at the gym so wifey would go to class. If I didn't go, she wouldn't go.
We go to Goodlife Gym, which has a class that's a combination of Pilates, Yoga, &, Tai Chi. It's an hour long & I have a love/hate relationship with it, LOL.

Then you should go all the time! :) Is she into lifting? Something you guys could start to do together and motivate each other.

I did Yoga and pilates....once! not coordinated enough to do those classes, especially being left handed, everything is backwards for me in those classes.

We go once a week, usually Tuesday nights. She used to lift, but she has sholder problems & gave it up. We ride bikes together. Every little bit helps.

Legs/abs today! Going to try a new thing for abs, don't know the technical name but you sit on your knees and pull a cable down.

That would be the one, anyone do it? What is it like? I did chest and back today and I am doing legs/abs tomorrow. Duhhhhh one of those days, brain has too much to do! But I had an AWESOME WORKOUT! I love it.

Awesome exercise. Lots of people forget to do weighted ab workouts and after they diet away the fat there's really not much there to show off. Build your abs like any other muscle group; with progressive resistance in weights.
 
I have to large of abs from doing weighted ab workouts about everyday for 6 months awhile back. I dont do abs really anymore because they are plenty big. Abs are made in diet.... but I guess if you want some size....gotta do it.
 
I agree... but i need to start doing core work.

I have to take a hiatus from the gym - period. My lower back is toast right now i wish i didn't have to wear dressy clothes today otherwise i'd strap on my weight belt.... it's not achy, it's pain.

Core work should tighten me up and stabilize everything in the correct ways.

I had the same philosophy as you... i hate doing abs, and i have decent cuts inbetween them even now but core work in now on my nessesary list of "gotta do it." Preventative measures so I stay injury free as much as possible.

Very true. And good point. Maybe Ill do a few light sets everyday with different exercise.

Question for you guys then, all this talk about abs. Mine are pretty hard and you can see some definition, iand obviously there is a layer of fat on them. By doing the weight ab exercise will they become to rounded, I know it sounds funny.
 
I had a friggin miserable day today. I'm on a missin at work & everybody stopping me for trivialities, help with their hobbies, home jobs, etc. I was in no mood for it.
