Is my white rice really that bad????

Everyting that I hear is brown rice this brown rice that, If im buying the white rice from the natural health food store, thats not bleached am I doing the wrong thing, I really like the taste of white rice compared to brown, also the shorter cooking time.

Let me know, I would really appreciate it.

white rice is only bad in the sense of it's glycemic rating-if you are cutting, avoid it-if you are bulking, it will pack on the weight.Brown rice is a good fiber source, and also good for bulking diets.
 
YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET FAT ON WHITE RICE....

The portion that you will end of eating of white rice will not cause you to put on fat.....now if you cover it with something....thats a different story.

WHITE RICE IS THE THANG.....
 
I think Rice PERIOD, whether brown or white, is a physique damaging food. I say this because its high in calories. Maybe if you really limited indulges then it won't be as detrimental by increasing fat storage. But then you can say that for about any carb, including dextrose,pasta, candy, high carb "nutriton" bars, etc. I classify rice in the same catogory. Any non-low GI carb makes me get hungry very quickly again, and I end up eating a lot more than if I ate Low GI/Low calorie carbs like broccoli,asparagus, cauliflower,etc. Eating rice still brings more of an insulin release than almost all non-proccessed carbs.
