Is it worth it?

its always a good idea to ride ahead about 100 yards of your front wheel...this way you can see what other drivers are doing or not doing....

You guys saying that I WILL dump the bike sooner or later, is really scary. Is it really that easy to crash going around a turn?

in reality its just like driving a car...probability factors. Motorcycles are more of a hazard because they are not easily seen and people cant judge speeds of a smaller object...if you take the time to learn about the bike and its capabilities- you will be fine. Road hazards have MORE of an impact on a bike then they do in a car...It is much more of a skill, than getting into a car and driving to the store...most of all, you must be very comfortable at riding a bike in and out of traffic, at speed and at slow speeds...

speaking of turns...... :p

i learned to ride a 50cc honda when i was 5 yrs old. i dumped my 125cc suzuki in my parents yard when i was 12, burned the shit outta my leg (layed it on the exhaust pipe a bit too long lol). been riding a bike on the highway since i was 14 and i'm 28 now and i've never had an accident that entire time. just watch out for EVERYONE ELSE on the road. they are the reason you will have a problem most likely, not you unless you don't respect your limits and the bikes limits. i've only popped a wheelie twice in my life. they're not for me
