Is it worth it?

as with anything, you can get hurt. People slip and fall and kill themselves getting out of the bathtub. Riding bikes is dangerous but to me it is worth the risk. A smart, informed cyclist can be killed as easily as a novice. I have ridden with lots and lots of guys and have seen very very few accidents. Everyone is quickt to say this guy died, or this girl lost a leg etc.... but most of us make it home unscathed. I could get hiv from promiscious sex but it is something that I dont consider a lot. I protect myself the best I can(condoms ) and go do my thing. I wear a helmet when I ride and hope for the best. If I ever get on my bike and am nervous about killing or mangling myself, I will get off of it and never ride again. You must ride with the knowledge that things could go bad quickly. Inform yourself and learn the defensive driving skills and enjoy.

I ride wheelies occasionally in empty lots or on the road late late at night with little no traffic. Lots of fun. I am sure my life insurance company would disapprove though.

First off go to Mavricks thread asking me about the F4i...Ive been doing this since i was 9yrs old. I freak if i see or hear a bike...(like a dog when he see's a rabbit running)..LOL.

This is a sport to me. it requires talent, skill, eye/hand corridination, balls, aptitude, and most of all passion...
i dont "do" this sport for anyone else, i do it for me- it feeds my soul. i mean this in all seriousness...it has all my life.
I have had one Girl on the back of my new bike, which ive had for about 8 months now...Most women dont like these bikes, young girls more so- but only a minority...so your ref: to getting "pussy" while on a crotch-rocket is going to be sparatic...they are out there, but Harleys are more along the lines of how women view Motorcycling...they want to cruise the beaches/ mountains at a speed which they can see and relax....

i try to get thru the mountain and down the beach highway as fast as i can...picking off Porsche's and Ferrari's as i go...

its a dangerous "Sport" to try to fit in or join so to speak...(what i mean by this- is we have riders come and join us every weekend- they usually crash out trying to keep up or show off...we crash too- law of averages) but anyone who has some motor skills can ride a bike and enjoy themselves...its a great hobby for alot of people...it provides and arena to make aquaintences and friends...

It's the other morons on the street you have to worry about. The last time I got run off the road I chased that MoFo down with intent to do bodily harm. When I caught up with the MoFo it was an old lady.

Sold the bike shortly afterwards. Too many close calls.
