I know a full body routine is best and all but I want to switch things up and lean down for good after experimenting. I have a problem gaining weight to easily and want to slim down before bulking up.

but im a little obsessed with making my arms bigger.

So Im gonna diet, do like an hour of moderate to heavy cardio 6/days/week, and do sets of crunches and pushups to exhaustion every other day. kind of like military style.

but I would make time to really pound the hell out of my arms only with weights twice/week.

So is that cool? Not working out other body parts isn't gonna hurt me or whack out my system or anything is it?

Training just arms would be the worst thing you could do...Why would you anyway? Training is a fullbody experience that involves all parts of the body. One of the best exercises for the arms, DEADLIFTS, why because it a compond movement the incorperates a total body workout...are you going to just do bi's and not tri's...come on dude pick up the weights and train like it means something 2 you.

if it were only that easy... 'life is good' is right when he says you're not going to put any muscle on while you're cutting. if i was you, don't worry about your arms... spend the month(s) cutting and focus on retaining the muscle you have now. Aside from this, consider how much your arms will grow if you weren't cutting over that period of time.... very little.

keep what ya got...

The worst thing you could do? I wouldn't go that far. There are about a thousand things you could do that are worse for you.

It's far from ideal. Most people wouldn't waste their time doing one bodypart only. But hey, if that's what you want to do, knock yourself out. It won't hurt you a bit. And if it's a question of doing that as opposed to nothing, it will definitely help you.

could you explain to me GYMTIME how this is not one of the worst mistakes this man can make in the gym? Because I would love to know, if he wants to cut...full body weight training should be a part of his routine...

He already knows that a full-body workout is best. He did not ask if doing something else was better, he asked if doing this was harmful. It is not.
