Introducing .... the newest EF member!

Not bleeding, not cramping. That stopped well over a week ago ... around 2w PP. BUT, my PP OB visit is not for another 2 weeks .... and he said NO exercise until then.

No V-Day nookie for me either. :(

Aww I never could never wait the whole six weeks for sex. I think it was right about 4 weeks that I did each time. Although the first time you gotta go realllly slow..... Of course, I'm not the patient type :) .

I always felt more back-to-normal after the first post baby nookie :) .

We are doing pretty well. Rachel is slowly getting on a routine, but it is near impoassible for an infant to be predictable. She is eating like a COW lately - think she is in a growth spurt or something. We go to the doctor Friday, for her 1 month appt, I cannot wait to see what she weighs/length. BUT, she gets another Hep B shot ..... I am gonna CRY CRY CRY. :(

She is still getting up about every 3-4 hours at night. I am trying to go to bed earlier - so I am getting up around midnight, 3am and 6am to feed her. But sometimes, she will only get up twice - I LOVE those nights - around 1am and 5am. But she is a good sleeper, and a really good baby. She doesn;t cry a lot - only when hungry. SHe also sleeps in her crib totally fine - which is nice.

She is starting to be MUCH more aware of her surroundings. She seems to watch my husband and I a lot more lately. She is really getting more facial expressions too ... it is funny.

I am glad your little one is gaining weight! That is great. How is he doing? How are YOU doing?

He is doing great, he doesn't cry much just wimpers when hungry and grunts when he need a change. He loves his baths to the point of dozing off. I am doing great even on the 4-5hrs of sleep I get. I feel better with this one than I did with my others, and I seem to have energy to burn as well. I have still got a little pudge of a belly but am only 4lbs off my pre preg weight, which I am happy about. :) :)

We are doing great. :) Rachel is getting SO BIG! Last week she had a 5 week appt, and she is almost 10 lbs now (9lb 13oz) and is 21 3/4 in long. SO she has gained about 2 lbs and 2 inches. :)

She is starting to smile, and make all these crazy faces. It is great. She also looks around for me when I talk in the room (and someone else is holding her). She is still getting up a couple times a night, but I am MUCH more used to it now. It doesn't affect me nearly as much as it used to. She is also VERY awake during the day - spends more time looking around and interacting with me.

We are starting to walk daily - about 20-30 minutes. The weather here is wonderful. I am too afraid to go longer, in case she gets fussy. But so far, she loves our walks - falls asleep halfway through. :) Sometimes I wear her in a front carrier - wow, this is hard. I have no core strength, so it can make my low back sore. It is like strapping a 10lb weight to your body! Sometimes I push her in the stroller - this is a good arm workout, especially when we go on an incline. I feel good getting out, and am anxious to start going for longer.

I can hardly believe how much I love her - and how it is hard to imagine how life was BEFORE her.

Bro! Nice gains! What's your training split? What does your cycle look like?

Oh.

Wait....

LOL! Sorry just had to.

She's growing so fast! These little people are just so amazing. :)

LMAO .... she is on a clean diet of breastmilk. ;)

Hmmm ... pictures, let me try to dig some new ones up

she is adorable.....getting so big so fast as they all do....but really daisy she is so precious.......glad to hear that you are doing well also...if you dont mind me asking how much does she eat right now?

She is eating just over 3 oz a feeding - about 3 1/4 oz. She is feeding about every 3-4 hours, even through the night. Sometimes she goes 5-6 hours without feeding, but that is rare.

We are working on having the 5-6 hours stretch without food be at night, but are having little success thus far, lol. Luckily, I am used to little sleep now!

she seems to be doing quite well for 1 month old baby...give it some time hun her belly will be able to go without so that you both can sleep soon....hard to believe she is 1 month already, time flies.

new pics, from today, she is 6 weeks old ......... she is getting cuter!

also, i am ashamed to say - here is me 6 weeks post partum :( just started walking daily this week, and trying to be more diligent about my food - less crap going in. no idea on my weight, but i never care about weight anyway, i don't believe in weighing myself! doctor appt tomorrow - he should clear me to start working out harder.

I un-stuck this since the little one has been around for awhile .... but I will keep bumping/updating with new pics periodically. :)

I will also start a log (ugh) with post-partum pics, maybe starting next week ...... *sigh* NOT looking forward to this .....

Daisy she is gorgeous. You look really good too. I like reading you updates so keep them coming more often

Rachel is just TOO cute!!!

I'm sure you'll have no problems getting back into the groove!

6 week post partum doctor appt was fine .... I am down 15 lbs, so I still have 12 lbs left to get to pre-PG weight .... although I would like to lose 20 lbs more. Of course, my appt was at 4:00pm after eating all day - so maybe I have lost more than that, hahaha. Doc cleared me for everything, sex AND working out. :)

Since I am breastfeeding, I *shouldn't* get a period (or ovulate), but that is not reliable. So I am going on the mini-pill for BC - at least for now. He gave me info on an IUD, so I am going to look into getting one.

ANd, of course, EVERYONE said Rachel is adorable. :) Doc said she has the fattest cheeks ... I LOVE baby cheeks!

Here is a funny - very close - picture

I promise you, even though you ARE the MOMMY....she is SO CUTE!!! My daughter is 17 now (makes me feel old to say, but I was a youngun @ 17 myself), and I still remember all her cute little expressions and mannerisms (sp). DG, enjoy her....she'll grow so fast.....:(

NICE! Yay for everything OK'D!
Do you have any plans yet as to what you are going to start? Post Baby Training etc?

Started working out the last few weeks, just lightly, trying to get back into it, trying to get to know my current limits.

Next week starts a "clean-ish" diet and more steady working out. Not sure if I am going to do a log ..... we'll see. If I do start one, I doubt it will be updated daily, I am scatterbrained lately. And I am not sure if I will include pics yet.

Rachel is doing really well, I am having a lot of difficulty knowing I am going back to work in a week and a half and she will be in daycare. I love my daycare choice, but I am really upset at leaving her. Everyday since she was born she has seen me all day, and we have spent the dy together. I worry about missing her, her missing me, her being confused at being "dropped off" somewhere strange, and me just missing out on her day. I want to go back to work, but I can't help but feel I am missing so much. I cry daily about it. :(

A lighter note ... she is smiling a lot now, cooing and making all kinds of gurgles. I can now recognize her "fake" cries - the "pay some attention to me" ones. Her 2 month appt is Friday 9am - FOUR SHOTS - ugh. I think all day Friday I will be snuggling with her!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Daisy that is great. WOW that second pic is TOO friggin cute! I wish you the best. Thanks for the update pics. You are very blessed.

awwww girl, she is so beautiful..It is amazing how fast she has grown, she looks so big now. They grow too fast!
As far as work/daycare goes maybe you can spend one day just a few hours there with her. just sit there and observe her and the provider. That way she will see and feel the comfort there.Just an idea...I know it sucks not being able to be there with her daily like you are used to.But maybe you can think of it that now both you and her can get a chance to miss each other and she will be so excited to see you again and you her as well.awesome that you get to get back to working out again although you look great in the last pics you showed. Best of wishes to you both and keep the pics coming.

more pics and update ....

Rachel is doing really well. She was 12 weeks on Sunday! WOW! She sleeps through the night - usually 9pm-6am or so. Some mornings I have to go wake her up! I am back at work - which is tough, but gets better everyday. She is in daycare and doing really well there. She adapted well to it, and seems to enjoy the stimulation. We chose a small center with internet cameras, so we can watch her during the day.

She is getting big!

Rachel's first cold ..... she has been cranky for a couple days. We weren't sure what was going on, then today she nose is a little faucet and she is sneezing up a storm. Took her temp, she is running a low grade fever. I think she caught the cold I had earlier this week. She has been super cranky today :( Poor little one.

Thanks ladies. She is getting SO BIG! She is 4 months old (in a week actually) and is SO FUNNY. She is cramming everything in her mouth already - dress, bib, blankets, etc. She tries to get BOTH fists in her mouth, then gets all pissy when she can't do it.

She is still sleeping through the night, about 9-10pm she goes to bed and I have to go wake her up at 6:30am (on weekdays) so I can feed her before I leave. Last night, she went to sleep about 8pm and woke up about 7:30am. So she is usually a good sleeper.

She is sitting up (with help, obviously) and is able to hold her head straight. SHe loves standing and pushing her feet into the couch or floor. But wow, she is the NOISIEST baby! She loves making noises! ANd she is still an attention whore - she hates it when nobody is looking *AT* her.

I am feeling good, ready to start some kind of workout routine, and pissed because my foot is still bothering me on and off. Feels great most days, but when I have a long work day or I am on my feet a lot, it aches pretty bad. I have a really really long road ahead of me to get into some kind of shape - the pregnancy, giving borth, THEN breaking my foot really put a crimp into any plans I had. I'm still quite frustrated and feeling pretty crappy about myself. Doesn't help either that I need a haircut BADLY and a pedicure. ;)

But all in all, we are doing great - I just love that little girl. SHe is so awesome. Nothing, absolutely nothing, beats the feeling I get when I go get her out of her crib and she just *lights up* when she sees me. The expression on her face is just pure joy .... no agenda, no holding back. It totally makes my heart melt.

I'll try to upload some pics .....

Aww what a little doll she is getting big she looks like she is going to be tall.

Thanks .... husband is tall, so I hope she gets his genes for that. I am a shorty. Hubby is 6'1", I am about 5'4"ish :)

She reminds me of the baby daughter of one of my sub-contractors. His wife brings the baby in every Friday to pick up checks and that sweet little girl is always smiling! Like Sass says, no matter how crappy a day, a baby's smiling face will instantly brighten your day!

She is definitely a beauty! :)

Daisy- She is beautiful.Thank you for sharing some more pics with us all! She is getting so big so fast.

Things are good - foot is healing, the little one is getting big. SHe had a pretty bad cold last weekend, so sleep was absent in my house, lol. She has started on some solids - rice cereal. Rice cereal is like a very very plain cream of wheat, but obviously made out of rice instead of wheat. Rice is non-allergenic, which is why they recommend it.

SHe has learned to "hum" and is starting the beginnings of a laugh, right now it is just a heh-heh-heh sound. She is still stinkin cute too. :)

Latest pics ....

^^^ Awwwww!!! Look at those beautiful blue eyes!! She's such a cutie!!

Glad to hear the foot is healing up....

LOL, thanks ladies. I think she is freaking adorable, but I know I am biased. :) Pictures can't even capture some of the cuteness!

Daisy - how are you doing?

My little fella is growing at a rapid pace also. I wish they would stay little a bit longer. :)

My husband and I were just talking about that today - that while we love seeing the advances she has made, we miss when she was so tiny.

That face says "Mom, seriously. We have already established that I'm so cute it hurts. But do we really need to pull out the camera again? I mean, really."
