into the lions den (westside story)

Pretty cool article. That dude had some balls to go work out at WBC. He states in the article that he is 155 lbs. Can you imagine what he looked like standing next to Rob Fusner or Dave Tate?

More guts than I have. I bet he wouldn't stay at 155 for long if they let him work out there very long. It sounded like they were doing a circa maximal cycle for squats, with a lot more band weight than bar weight. I bet that was a rude awakening to the personal trainer who wrote the article.

The questioning of Dave Tate about nutrition cracked me up.

"If a powerlifter can see his abs he is not trying hard enough."

Endpoint, grits are a Southern U.S.food. They are basicly like oats, they cook quickly and are carbohydrate based. They are low priced and are flavorless unless other ingredients are added.

That dude in the article said that he has been "paying attention to the Westside methods for five years," not to piss on his lifts, but it doesn't make sense to me that someone training Westside for 5 yrs would have lifts so low (250 bp and 350 sq and dl)?? I don't understand, is this guy serious??

paying attention and doing are 2 different things. Rumor has it that an 80 year old lady could outsquat you.

Grits

Grits are a southern breakfast item. It's like corn mush. Have you ever heard of Cream O' Wheat? Well grits would be Cream O' Corn. Don't know anyone who wasn't raised a southerner that likes em.
