I'm 22 5'7 172lbs. Im having an issue in what feels like the inside of my inner knee but it only occurs when my quad tightens. It's stopping me from being able to squat due to not wanting to put any extra weight on it other than body weight.

WOOOOOW same thing here... hury my knee while back plifting.. got a ct scan, doc said theres inflammtion..and sent.me.to a knee specialist :s who put me on glucosomine..i literally jaw dropped -.- wtf i was already on it.. but have a another app. next month and im still unable to squat heavy and.lost looooot of my leg mass. i hear cortisol injections could heal it..so just gonna put a knife to the doc.and.force.him to give me cortisol injections to knee...no but really at this point ill do anything to get it healed and sqaut again.... btw

do not do sqauts if u feel any pain at all..i made it worse as i had a powerlifting meet 2 months from my initial injury
also go to ur family doc asap get it ct scanned or.w.e u need to do...just dont leave it..mines been months like monthsss and still not healed...just rmb if i can recall from class, conective tissue.and junk take close to a year to heal or so
hope that helps

My advise is to ice the shit out of it and rehab it. I would squat with really light weight and perfect form. You want to flush the area with blood to speed recovery. When squatting its important that the knees stay straight and inline with ankles and feet. Alot of people allow their knees to cave in when squatting and this causes knee injuries. A good trick is to push your knees out right before you hit depth. And make sure your weight is placed on the heel and outside of your feet. Do not allow your weight to shift to the toes. This will also place the knee in an unsafe position.

I was told I may be pfs patella femoral syndrome which seems to be common in the army. I've resorted to lighter weight squats to rehab it but with squats and still having to run at least 3xs a week it's still having issues not as bad as it was though so I'll stay light until it heals

The corticosteroids aren't directly gonna help heal anything. All they do is reduce inflammation. I would be very careful with this, because if you get cortisone the pain is likely to go away but the injury is still there and you might end up working it out or using it because it doesn't hurt. Then you are just doing twice the damage.

Stay off of it, ice it, get it looked at, and rehab it.

Go see a doctor dude. It's not worth sleeping on it to not miss a workout and then finding out its serious.

I'll go get it looked at on thursday. My issue is that it doesn't hurt to press on anywhere in the area where my pain is until it gets stressed out from weight other than my body weight
