Yesterday in my Addiction and Recovery class, we talked about different addictions that people have, all kinds of them, alcohol, drugs, gambling, porn, etc.
One thing that is kinda unique about the school I go to, is that it takes on a very Christian perspective (private school) and one thing which is basically stated almost like a fundamental truth in our class, is that "It is impossible to break away from a serious addiction without the power of God helping you"
I thought about that for a second, and asked myself, "well what about the atheists?" or the people and programs that focuse on other ways aside from spirituality to get rid of their addictions?
For example, one of the first steps of alcoholics anonymous, is to admit that you need help from a Higher Power (God) in order to get free from your problem.
So what do the atheist alcoholics do?
