YO EF members,

good can from checking out these forums. I found EF doing a search on how to DL and been here every since (about 4-5months). Lots of knowledge and passion here...

on to the numbers:

Ive added about 50 pounds to my squat, 50 pounds to DL's, and 50 pounds to my barbell rows all in the past 4 months...giddyup:)

These #'s are based on my working sets and not maxes.

before id sqaut 315 for 5 reps, now up to 365 for 5reps
DL 275 x 3 and now im doing 325 for 3x
and i got up to 225 x 5-6 reps on barbell rows

im 6'3" 240 so the numbers arent great by any means but I like the progression!

so thanks to all who contribute to EF. Ive been learning a lot and this forum is really helping me make solid gains.

Sean

ps-it goes without saying im natural;)

As long as your numbers are better than what they were before, then they kick ass, way to go!!

Thanks for the kind words:)

if anybody was curious heres the workout ive been doing. If it has (new) next to it that represents an exercise I did rarely or not at all prior to browsing EF.

1 - Legs
jump snatch (new)
squat 3x5 - aim for slightly below parallel with wide stance (new form)
SLDL (new)
reverse lunges (new)
hyperextension (new)

2- chest/tis

bb bench press with PL form (form is new)
db flys
kickbacks
pushdowns
skullcrushers
abs

3 - back/bis
DL - sets vary (new)
barbell rows (new)
one arm rows
standing curls
isolation curls
preacher curls

4 - shoulders
flys
standing db presses
push press (new)
shugs
jump shugs (new)
abs

Throughout a 7 day period I do these workouts...rest 3 days per week, rest when i feel i need recovery

As a rule I go for 5 reps per set...lower even on squats and DLs. I think this is a solid program for my goals. Workouts are short and sweet, lasting usually an hour. "brevity is the soul of wit" (shakespeare) and I think the same applies to workouts...

happy training,

Sean
