i have been cutting lawns for the summer till school starts back up,i don't work during school and live on a limited budget(parents give me a little money to survive during school).my question is if you only had about $50 a week to spend on your food(i'm trying to bulk up/155/5ft9)what would you spend your money on the most?chicken and rice? also,i heard that alot of pro football players supplement some of their protein needs using isopure,this would be convenient as i can mix it on the road and not pack alot of ice for premade shakes like i do now.when school starts back up it, convenients will not be a factor but for now i'd like to try it. Is isopure a quality product? would you use it for some of your protein needs? thanks for reading and any advice

The key word is meat my friend. Whatever you can get for your money. Throw in some vegetables twice a day and maybe some fruit and you should be good to go. I can get by on $50 a week for groceries just by getting meat, fruits, and vegetables. Get a 5 lbs. bag of oranges and apples mixed together, some ready made bagged salad, a pound or two of your favorite frozen vegetables, gallon of milk (if you can tolerate it) and the rest of your money in meat/protein. Isopure is pretty darn expensive, I think the money would be better spent on high protein meat and veg. like suggested above.
 
I could easily live off tofu and veggies for $20 a week. Vitamins, minerals, herbs, and supplements are what break my bank. :(
 
Stick to real foods, if you're bulking you'll get more monies worth with whole foods as opposed to (overpriced) supplements.

get your load of cheap but wholesome carbs like oats, brown rice and veggies. Cheap sources of protein like chicken and tuna and eggs. Natty PB will go down a treat too :D
 
beans/lentils very cheap.. you can buy those in bulk, and cook up assorted beans and get good amounts of protein/carbohydrates.
