I just found the greatest store in the world

A new store opened up by my house this week. It is called something like "The Zero Carb Warehouse."

I'm sure you can figure out what they sell.

I popped in today to check it out, and I was pleasantly surprised. They had everything! Ice cream, chocolate bars, breakfast cereals, protein powders, syrups, coffee flavoring, sweetners, candy, potato chips, and stuff I didn't have time to check out.

Here is what I was able to check out:

Ice cream - they had a soft serve machine that had Pistachio and another flavor. Both were very good. But I opted for a pint of chocolate instead. Bad choice. The chocolate isn't nearly as good as the Pistachio or the other one. They also separate the flavors in two catagories - low carb and ultra low carb. If memory serves me correct, the low carb version has 3 grams of carbs per ounce and the ultra low version has 1 gram of carbohydrate per ounce.

Tortila chips - no carbs, very high protein, but not that great of a taste. Actually, it had 19 grams of protein per serving, with 2 servings per small bag. They advertise it as a meal replacement if you can believe that. In that context, I guess it was OK. Needs more seasoning if you ask me.

Gummy Dinosaurs - no carbs, no protein, no anything. They taste as good as regular gummy bears. I doubt I could pick out the real thing from these. Highly recommended.

Carbolite Candy bars - 1 gram of carb per serving. They taste great. So far, they are the closest thing to regular chocolate that I have tasted. Highly recommended.

Doctor's Lowcarb Diet Chocolate Bar - Pretty tasty. Close second to Carbolite. I'm pretty hard to please, but I will eat these again. Good stuff. Zero carbs.

Stawberry Shortcake bar - I don't remember the name of the brand, but I had one of these. It was basically a meal replacement bar. It tasted much better than the Atkins bars, which I absolutely hate, but wasn't as good as the chocolate bars. But it had about 25 grams of protein, so it wasn't an empty snack.

Flavor Creations - Coffee flavoring. You can probably find these in any store, but I had never tried them before. They are little tablets that you put in your coffee or tea to give it flavor. I picked up the Almond Amaretto and Dutch Chocolate. I'll try them later this morning with my coffee. I did pop one in my mouth and it was pretty tasty. Kinda like an Almaretto flavored tic tac.

Stevia - took a few packets as samples. The girl behind the counter recommended I mix the Stevia with equal parts Splenda for best results. I poured a packet of Stevia in my mouth to try it and Yuck! It's gross. I'll try to mix it with Splenda in my morning coffee to see how it tastes in something.

Well, that's it. I hope you guys have a store like this in your neck of the woods. It's a life saver!

it sounds good but you should still keep all that kind of stuff to a minamum. their is alot of fake sweeteners and other things that are not all that good for you.

Tempe, AZ. If they have a website, I'll post it.

This place really is a life saver because I have candy cravings all the time while I am on the low carb diets. The meat, cheese, or egg type meals get old after a while and I just craze something sweet. Now I can satisfy those cravings and still stay in Ketosis.
