I go between 10 seconds and 20 seconds for bi's (Mohahaha!), and 40 seconds for bench press and the bigger excercises. Crunches 10 seconds hehe.
BUT, I tend to spend allot of time chatting between excercies and usually spend about 6 mins just talking in between excercises! I work on... a huge pump, mild stroke and then recover, get up and go again!
Sounds like you need a new training partner...or a pin for that inflated head of yours !
Seriously though, I don't mind working in with people that are using much less weight than I because it gies me a chance to catch my breath!
For the record I'd say 1-3 minutes, depending on the exercise. Lately I have been getting over the ego thing of not being able to get as much weight/as many reps with a short rest.
