Totally depends on the health of my back. I first hurt it as a teenager playing soccer and then just a few days later tried a leg press and used bad form and made the injury much worse. I'm 26 now and the old injury is just gradually getting worse with the years.

Never do 1RM's anymore on squat. Good back, about 230 for 12. Bad back, I go super slow bar speed with 135 for about 15.

Generally in the mid to upper 6's without a suit. This is a calculated 1RM since I wont do anything more than a 3-5RM anymore.

662 x 5 off a low box with VERY loose briefs on (I can OLY squat in them) last Thursday...more to come.

MAh mah I'm pretty normal. Coming back from an injury that required a little over a month without lifting so my squat is at about 450 max. I was screwed from birth with my long legs.

Then again I'm not out of high school and I'm all natural so that doesnt help much!

can squat 365 for 5 reps. full squats. way below paralell. my legs are only 25" around 2. tryin to get some size in my quads and calves. just having trouble keeping up with my upper body. Just started my first cycle 3 days ago so hope it helps. any advice from anyone. doing legs every 4th day. one heavy for low reps and then one workout with high reps and so on.

Last time I squat was at 335lbs. I think I could have done a lot more, but just haven't 1 rep maxed in a while. That 335 was a high bar completely atg squat. Haven't really maxed doing a low bar parallel squat yet, but I bet it would be higher than my 335.

as my name indicates my bubble is pretty big, best natural lift is back quat, mid trap bar position, past parallel, 675 raw x 6 almost got 7 but needed help to rack it. It's crazy to think of how it must feel to front squat that weight, like ronnie used to... light weight babay

3rd easy rep with 785 lbs. Had 2-3 in the tank...POSSIBLY.

B fold Out of interest what's your pr on front box squats?

Low 500's. I know that I missed a 551/250 box front squat. Technical issues...not a strength thing.

Box Squat 871 last week, 711 x 8 this week.

Good for 450 on a good day. Belt only and all the way atg.

My coach says my mind is limiting me and I can squat 500 raw atg.

Been working on building up my mental belief in my lifting ability at the gym. In the end everything comes back to your mental A game.

An even 500 for me! I was 35 when I did it, I'm now 36. I have always wanted to say that I had squatted 500 and now I can. Even got a bloody nose on the way back up. It felt like it took forever and I felt like I was gonna get stuck at the bottom. Whatever you guys are squatting...GREAT JOB GUYS!!! At least we are doing squats when most guys go in there and run at the site of a squat rack!!

365x5. My legs have always been my weak point. That was on a test/dbol cycle. I weighed a little over 180 at that time.

I did 275x8 without a spotter. I might have been able to get one more but didnt want to risk it without a spotter. But anyways I am a small boned guy, so even though I was at 180 I was/am holding alot of muscle for my weight.

im weak on squats 280 for 5 with good depth n form . im 44 at 180 now 10% bf or below started at 120 squatin 50 wtf so im happy with where i am i love cycling too much so its quite hard combining the two not to interfere with resting your legs etc .

Hello everyone, new here (obvious). Never tried squats before, always hated doing legs. I haven't gym'd for 3 years, only back 4 months now. Thanks to this site and a friend of mine, tried squats for the first time last week, a disgusting 60kgs 4 sets of 8.
This week managed 80kgs (still 4x8). My friend and I have VERY similar builds (he's just in much much better shape). I tried 100kgs and managed 2, but I'll admit my form felt pretty horrific and I won't be going for any 'max' efforts until I'm doing them properly all the time.

What's funny is my friend is on 100kgs, but when we move to the leg press (I started legs on this) I'm 'managing' 250kgs (3x12) and he can't manage more than 5 reps... Anyway, ego never accomplished anything so I'm concentrating on squats, but I'm still not enjoying them at all. Btw, I don't really know all the different variations, but I think we're doing the 'regular' squats. And yes, we're going almost to the floor :)

To add to my embarrasment, I'm 185cm, and 117kgs.... Yup, those past 3 years did nothing for me... A loooooooong way to go.

I used to do 405 for reps. I think I was in the 300s when I responded to this originally. Then I let a lot of things get in the way, some reasons valid, many not. Now I am back down to 225, and it is depressing some days. One of the harder things I think is realizing where you were is not where you are while still remaining motivated.

did 405 x8 but never maxed.
broken back in 94 and have tried to continue squats but always hurt myself. I posted a question about this...Im gonna squat again!!!
I just dont want to hurt myself again.

Never touched drugs and the most I've done was 345, but I have hit 330 for 4 reps which would put my estimated max around 365. That's with my hip joint going below my knee joint, no spotter, no gear, no smith machine, just me and my 4 inch belt.

I haven't singled out in a loooong time but recently (about 5 weeks ago) I squatted 330lbs 5x3 with 30, 45, 60, 60 in between. Always below parallel.

Last Friday I squatted 340lbs with 22lbs chains (each side to make total weight 384lbs at the top) for 3x3 (about 2 minutes in between).

I hit 400 in high school. I weighed 170. My bench max was 275. 15 years later working out off and on over the years. Now i am 205 and my bench is about 340 but I don't do squats anymore.

I remember I used to get a big bruise every time I squated 400. They had the huge neck roll but that thing flattened out fast.

445 with belt, knee wrap, CHALK, and No juice. My back stays in the same position all the way through my squat and i see a whole lot of people compromise their lower back when doing heavy front squats. Someone should start a video proof only thread!!

This I agree with on the video proof only thread. Id love to see some or these 600+ atg squats. Im not a powerlifter if I can't rep it I don't lift it. Max lifetime would be 385x3

455 with kneew straps.

its a little slacking in comparison to my bench max, but i just recently started taking sqauts more seriously so im happy with it, never-the-less.

Not everyone can afford HGH cycles.

But he really is clean. Always was and still is. He squatted 255lbs for 20 at 14 years old and 345lbs for 20 at 19.

Squats n deads are my two best lifts. My PR on squat is 505. No knee straps and as deep as a squat can be. I have incredible natural power coming out of the hole on a heavy squat. When I graduated high school I weighed 145 at 5'7", but could still squat 315 ATG. Right now I weigh 185 @ 11 percent bf. I fully expect to bang out 600lbs on my next cycle starting in July.

u should ask this for FRONT SQUATS. i aint impressed with regular squat with how much back people use, even when they use proper form.

No belt no wraps no spotter atg
272.5 kilos was a few months back in the back squat
Front squat. I guess I am a bitch I can only do 195 kilos. I miss 200k every time... It rolls off my finger tips..

Lol my max is 245 on squat , I know im 20 and 6'4 but I can deadlift 455 and have done 505 with a belt before....
Idk why im so shitty in squat beats me... I can bench the same lol dont judge me

And you've gained 14 lbs since your last thread..

Yeah BP is used as the bencmark (pun intented) WAY too often.

I only just got back in the gym after almost a year off and can already squat 220 and deadlift 265, but my benchpress and chin up straight out suck thanks to my long monkey arms and heavy torso/lower body...

:faint:

Although squat is a better representation of overall strength, I just don't trust people are squatting low enough.

Anyway, I'm an old tall ecto/meso and I did a full depth squat with 410lbs. No way I could hit that again because "life" has jacked my lifting up.

Havent maxed out recently but i can do 405 for 20 AFTER my heavy sets, previous best 1rm is around 585...
