How many people dont do flat barbell bench anymore?

my form is perfect... powerlifters have no form.. they arch, bounce the weight and cheat using wraps, and shirts.. i do none of that....

Shows me that you know nothing about lifting heavy and makes me understand why bodybuilders keep injuring themselves benching heavy.

I have seen thousands of reps done heavy by powerlifters and seen only a few bounces..On the other hand it is much more common to see ego driven bodybuilders bounce the weight off their chests which I have seen over 100 times easily.

Wraps dont help you lift more weight in benching they just protect your wrists and most powerlifting benching is done without a shirt. A shirt is to help you protect your delts/pecs while pausing and yes you can lift a little more weight with them generally speaking.

A powerlifter has to PAUSE the weight on their chest during a contest (I have done 2 contests) so why would they bounce in training?

That's a laugh! I guess that's why we all are still benching heavy and squating heavy and deadlifting heavy! While with your great form your relagated to fluff exercises.

because we have much more stress.. i weigh 205.. bench 405 without arching/wraps etc.... 19 yrs old.... 34 inch waist.. you on the other hand are most likely FAT.. like all powerlifters i meet... eww... why lift just to say "hey i can bench 700 lbs" when u look like shit..

Why don't you post a pic of yourself and we will see who looks better. Alot of powerlifters are bodybuilders as well, just a lot stronger. I weigh a little more than you and bench a lot more and guess what my waist is smaller than yours. From your comments I can tell that you know nothing about powerlifting because if you have ever been to a meet you will see a lot of guys that look incredible. Also it's easy to tell that you don't know much about benching either because if 405 is all you can get at 205 and on the juice well.....i guess you could neverdo a powerlifting meet or back up anything that comes out of your mouth. I guess sometimes when your young and ignorant you know everything don't you! I'll let you get back to your cable cross-overs now.

Haven't done flat barbells since I was 14 when I injured myself doing them. Haven't done inclines in a few years. Now I stick to dumbells, dips, and machines to work my chest.

Well Im only benching around 780 lbs at a bodyweight of 230, 14 years old and 24 inch waist. I guess I can't be good at everything I do in life. ;)

I have to agree on flat bench that it hits my front delts and tris more than my chest also. That's why I do closer grip. Decline is worthless and puts even more stress in the RC. I bench 495 for max, but that don't mean shit. I don't get a pump or a good work out out of it. Put 3 plates on and go for the burn, 20+ reps. Now that's a burn!
