How many carbs after weights?

I am 24, 5'7", 122 pounds, 19.5%bf. My goals are to loose fat and add muscle. I recently have changed my workout routine which is now mostly weight training (I did mostly cardio and the circuit before but was not seeing any changes). I ride my bike or run to the gym in the morning(5-10 minutes each way) go home and have a shake, then ride to work(20 minutes) and ride home.

After my morning weight session I have a protein drink(23g protein) with 1 tbsp of maltodextrin(25g carbs). When I get to work I have oatmeal with an apple. Is this enough carbs?

the best thing to do post workout is:right after, drink a met-rx rtd shake for the carbs and then within an hour eat a meal high in protein-this advice is in gear monster's manual

My workouts:
Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Chest & Tri
Wednesday: Back & Bi
Thursday: Legs
Friday: Shoulders

I also do abs on most days. Including my run/ride to the gym(5-10 minutes each way) my workouts last about 1 hour. Keep in mind I ride my bike to work(20 minutes) after I go home and have my protein/carb shake, then have oatmeal with an apple at work.

Should you decrease the amount of carbs post workout if the workout is shorter than other days? For ex. if I'm doing shoulders only one day which I can knock out in about 20 min and then some cardio after vs. back day which takes longer to finish?

after workouts im taking 1 scoop portein (27g) and 2 scoops maltodextrin (60 g). And i take this 2X per day after each workout.

Plus i eat oatmeal, potato, rice, apple, shreddies each day. Protein is through the roof though, and i add enough fat.

You dont need more than 30-40 grams of carbs...take a good protein/carb drink right after you train and then go home and eat a good meal.

I agree with New@. For women, not more than 30-40 grams after a heavy workout, then follow it up with a high protein meal. Some might say no carbs (just a protein drink) if you're dieting for a show, but I'd probably then only do some carbs post-workout on really intense days, esp legs.
