yeah, I've read the entire Arnold's encyclopedia, but I have to mention that his basic training routine calls for 6 days a week, which is something no beginner really needs, IMHO. I went on that plan verbatim and ate tons, but the fact remains that your body does not recover that easily unless you're used to it or are taking juice.
I like his choices for specific exercises, and then I fit them into a plan so I'd work out every other day, and do just calf raises and ab routines on the offdays as well as on the workout days ( he mentions that u should work out abs and calves all days).
It's a great book , but I'm telling u that the beginner plan is for people on juice ( and I bet he would not even contend with that; a lot of builders in his time began with a plan like that and juiced up and became huge)
